This is a standard traditional city centre hotel but perfectly fine for a short stay. Furnishings in the bedroom were old and traditional wood (nicer than normal hotel stuff) but very well maintained and clean. Mattressess was firm and bedlinen crisp and of good quality. Public areas were pleasant with some thoughtful additions like books and magazines. Lift and double...

Stayed here for two nights recently whilst visiting the city of Porto. Rooms were clean and functional, breakfast served on the roof terrace is of a continental selection plus cereals and perfect to start a day of sightseeing, located near Aliados Metro station with Trindade station (with direct trams to Campanha railway station and the airport) a 2 minute walk...

When selecting a hotel, my primary consideration is location-price-quality ratio. Given Vera Cruz's central location, solid quality and reasonable price [I paid <$50/night], I was very pleased with my experience. The location is accessible (2 minutes walk from Aliados metro stop), well-lit and secure. The property is clean and well maintained. The staff is friendly and helpful. Everyone at the...

Get the expectation right, this is afterall a 'residential' and not exactly a hotel, there is no proper lobby. The room is rather basic but sufficient. I noticed the cleaning standard (washroom, towel, blanket, carpet) can be improved. Got a room with a view but absolutely no view and lack of natural light. Hence is quiet to get decent sleep....

Stayed for two nights and were very impressed with the central location. Rooms are small but clean and staff is very friendly. Highlight was definitely the yummy breakfast on the roof terrace. If you get a good deal, it's definitely a hotel to recommend.

We stayed in this hotel for 4 nights in April 2010. After landing in Porto we took the metro directly to Trinidad station, the hotel was a few minutes walk from there. The metro took about 20 minutes and cost only €1.50. Returning we took a taxi from just over the street (no need to order, not even at 4am),...

I went with my boyfriend to this small hotel in Porto for a weekend. We enjoyed the city a lot and we chose this place because has a special offer (57 euro) for San Valentine's weekend and is perfectly situated. For that cost we had a superior room with a balcony viewing to the PlaÇa dos Aliados, in the city...
