The decor is amazing, around the huge deco staircase at least. Beautiful old items from the top to the bottom. The room I had was both functional and comfortable, with a bonus of a shared balcony. Shower / tv etc. were all fine and the breakfast was adequate. Good location too, and the staff were friendly and helpful. For what...

I really liked the style of the hotel, like remembering old times, but a few things could have followed modernity, like: I really missed a safe for keeping money and documents as well as a better wifi connection (it worked, but not very well). Breakfast was really good, no complaints about that, and the bathroom had been renewed, differently from...

The hotel is in a great location in the city center. Just a few steps from the metro, bus lines, restaurants and a big market. It is about about 10 minute walk to the Douro river. The room is spacious, old futniture but clean and confurtable. Bathroom looked new an a big size. Breakfast is simple but enough for everyone....

The hotel was interesting, like it had been established in the 50s and they had decided to make it a boutique affair by adding lots of nostalgia rather than modernising it. That said, it was clean, warm and the staff were very helpful. We only had breakfast on the first morning though, despite having paid for it in advance, as...

We stayed for a couple of nights in October prior to moving to an apartment for a month, so we were looking for something for just a quick stay and opted for this one as it looked interesting, And interesting it is. Architecturally, it is in the 1930's modernist style - it looks very much like the large cinema s...

So cosy and quaint hotel, I stayed there with my family for three nights and it was flawless. The hotel is at a good place, near to aliados avenue, majestic coffee, São Bento station as well as to few minutes by foot from Ribeira port. Very friendly staff and good breakfast. There's no parking.

The location is fantastic! Central and convenient, near many attractions and the metro transportation. There is a parking for your car in the same street, close to the hotel. You can visit most of the central attractions by foot. The staff is kind and the building is curious and unique as a hotel. The breakfast is excellent! Porto is a...

We stayed two nights and had a pleasant experience. Old hotel but very clean. Good and fresh complimentary breakfast, no hot dishes but good quality of items. Free wifi, efficient front desk agents and most importantly, walking distance to most attractions. I gave it a 5* because of the price, cleanliness, food and great location.

We stayed here for two nights and what an experience! It is a museum and reminder of childhood days with displays of household appliances from the 50's and play equipment like the kids bus and the dodgem cars spread around the floors. Even a petrol bowser at one of the floors. The rooms and bathrooms are spacious and well serviced....

My room was a single room and therefore, it was super tiny, so tiny that I could not even have my suitcase open. Breakfast was average with the same thing everyday. The location, however, was good as it was only 10 minutes walk from Sao Bento train station. But beware that it is situated on a slope so this 10...
