We stayed here for our first Porto visit and it was perfect. Wonderful helpful staff, immaculate, cozy bar and perfectly situated to walk every direction. This hotel has an agreement with Churchill Winery across the river. You must make reservations they the front desk. We did not eat at the hotel but had morning coffee and bread daily across the street. When we return we will stay here again. This was our favorite hotel stay for our tour of Portugal. You will not be disappointed. We had two rooms one on the top floor and the other two floors down. Request the top floor for great day and night views.

Everything was PERFECT, no complaints, walk up the hill, slight grade, not for the NOT SO FIT... Just a few steps away from a fabulous night life and lots to explore. Minutes from the famous Bridge... I'd go back in a heart beat...

Stayed 2 nights at this warm clean and professional hotel . Fantastic location in a charming very friendly city . No complaints about our room , yes it wasn’t the biggest room and a little noisy but when staying in the city you expect a bit of noise from outside and other guests . All the staff we met were very helpful . Would recommend for a weekend break like we had as perfect for exploring the city and lots of restaurants bars and shops nearby .

Is parking available at this hotel?
Answer from Michelle L
Jan. 2019 |
I don’t recall there being parking at the hotel. There are places to park outside the hotel but not sure on parking charges and how long you can park there for. Also there is underground parking at the bottom of the hill where the green is, but not sure on parking costs here either. Sorry

I want a room that is NOT facing the street...how can I specify this when I book?
Answer from DENISE V
Nov. 2017 |
We did request a room not facing the street but got one anyway.I think it just depends on what is available when you arrive. We were at the side of the hotel on a cobbled street and you could hear traffic noise but most of the hotels in the town are the same.We found it a very nice hotel in a good location

They all face the street it has streets on three sides and a building behind. You won’t hear any street noise. We were there in July. It was a fantastic hotel.
