A brief but pleasant stay in an old-fashioned but smart hotel. A good location, close to the Metro stop, and located on a busy pedestrianised street with lots of cafes. Perfect if you're just there for a couple of nights and want to to be close to the centre.

Having started by not actually booked the hotel I thought I'd booked, I was more than presently surprised. The hotel is in my belief far better than its 3* rating. I have, stayed in much worse 4*'s. The Location is prefect for getting around, the metro and of course the shops. The communal areas are beautifully decorated as is the dinning...

I was there in January 2012 with my girlfrind. The hotel is in the touristic/commercial area of Oporto, elevated from the Ribeira near the metro station and close to Oporto market (near Majestic cafè, 30 m). The hotel is old fashion style, but not old, my bedroom was good and clean, like the barthroom. The WIFI connection is not free...

The hotel is situated at the heart of the city. The public areas are beautifully renovated with a lot of charm. The bar is great to sit in before going out or for a last drink before going to bed. The staff is friendly and helpfull, the breakfast is good but nothing special. The internet costs and is quite poor....

First impressions are good, the hotel is situated right in the heart of the city, with excellent restaurants, shopping and sightseeing. The public rooms are extravagantly furnished and very grand but the rooms are a different matter. We were allocated a room on floor - 1, which was virtually subterranean, overlooking an alleyway. It is probably what they would have...

Took my 13 year old son for the first time in 18 months he really loves the place, normal high standards, very clean, the staff are biggest asset, always friendly and helpful. food is very good..... the hotel is one of the reasons I go to Porto 4 to 5 times a year!

This hotel and its decor are quite dated and tired, not "Grande" as the hotel's name suggests and as many others have suggested in their reviews. Internet access was 10 Euros/day extra. Even the in-room safe, no larger than a small shoebox, was 3 Euros/day extra! The breakfast offering was of poor quality in terms of breadth of offering and...

Yes, it's a wonderful place to stay, in main shopping street, close to the very center of the city. The ground floor is magnificent, including the big breakfast room, garage is available and the room rate is not too expensive, in the end.

This hotel is in the city center, in walking distance to all main attractions. It has a classic decor (good taste) in the public areas and modern rooms and bathrooms, both very spacious especially considering the old building. We stayed in the -1F, where I was told are the best rooms (no views). There's parking at the hotel. Wifi costs...

We stayed here so we could be within a stone's throw of Porto's shops, restaurants and attractions and we were not disappointed. The rooms were sharp and cosy, the corridors extra-wide, and the staff very helpful and friendly. We visit Porto every year enroute to Galicia and will definitely stay longer on our next trip. We had an early flight...
