Superb location and hotel. We had a small but perfectly functional and comfortable room. Some of the best nights sleep I’ve had in a hotel. We didn’t eat breakfast in the hotel but did eat dinner a la carte, it was very good. Would definitely return.
The discovery of new spaces is always an attraction for me and that is what led me to choose Carris Porto Ribeira. A very good architectural intervention took advantage of several buildings in Ribeira do Porto to transform it into a hotel full of surprises, in the unevenness, in the discovery of the connection between the new and the old, in the spaces that surprise us and force us to look more closely. The room was comfortable and well integrated from the bathroom with window to the bedroom. Very nice view of the Douro from the room Breakfast, despite the virus situation, always went well, with attentive staff and well served Emphasize the courage to be open and do everything for our safety
This hotel is excellently located for the river, the hotel is smart and nicely furnished. The room we had was however very small - with literally no flat surface other than tiny bedside tables and the space around the bed was very tight. Things were so tight that we had to move the tea/ coffee tray to the bathroom. The bathroom was nice and there was a very small wardrobe. The situation due to Covid 19 made things exceptionally difficult for everyone in the city, the bar and restaurant were closed though we were able to get room service ( though had to eat it in the lobby as there was nowhere we could place the dishes in the room). So in summary - great location but perhaps pay for a better room than the basic one. I hope things get back to normal soon - Porto is a beautiful city.…
First of all the location of the hotel is amazing as it is very close to Luís I Bridge & Ribeira Square which has many cafe's and restaurants etc. The square has many people walking around so can get little lively. The hotel had a good set of staff who helped me with a quick Check In and other things as i was visiting Porto for work. The hotel has good and clean rooms and is quite despite the great location. An overall great stay.
This hotel is in a great location, just a couple of minutes from the river Douro, where there are an abundance of bars and restaurants. Our suite (a large double with a sofa) was on the fifth floor with a lovely terrace overlooking the river, which was well used as the weather warm, a bonus for March. Due to the Coronavirus there was no housekeeping and the bar was shut, but it didn't impact us as we were staying just for the weekend. The staff were friendly and helpful. I'd be happy to stay here again.
