We were so happy with our hotel choice. The Vila Vicencia is a true hidden gem amongst all the big concrete tower blocks of hotels lining the Lido area of Funchal. It's lush gardens and lovely terrace and pool area provide a calm oasis, the...More

This was our Second visit to Vila Vicencia in 7 months. We're not given to visiting locations for holidays twice but couldn't resist returning here and I suspect we will be back again. This hotel is small and perfect. The location is perfect, very central...More

We recently stayed at Vila Vicencia for a week and had a lovely time. We felt that this accommodation suited us better than the huge hotels that are all around Funchal due to its more homely, personal feel. Location is great, as others have said...More

We have just returned from a Fantastic Holiday in Madeira. We stayed at Vila Vicencia. Like other reviews I would agree that it is a little Oasis. When you go through the green gate into the lovely garden it is like being transported into another...More

Sorry don't know. We were there when the builder was drilling down through rock to build foundations. This should be finished by now but I imagine building of structure is still going on.

There is a Lido by the sea where you can sunbathe and children can play, just a short walk across the main road.
