You will regret if you book a hill facing room instead of the sea view. You do have to pay extra though. The staff are great; the morning buffet is an event in itself; good mix of live music in the evenings. You do have to pay to use the safe in the room. But the rooms are large and...

We visited for a week over Easter. Hotel has been wonderfully refurbished and public areas all have open views of pool and sea. Bedrooms are very stylish with grey and white and give a feeling of spaciousness. We upgraded to higher level sea view room and it was worth it. Good hairdryer and kettle but no iron. Lunch was good...

The hotel is newly renovated so everything is really nice. Our room had sea view and it was well worth the extra £100 when we saw beautiful sunrise lying on the bed. There are 2 pools and the one indoor is heated. Services & staff are great. If you would like to chill out this hotel is perfect for you....

Ended up here due to a cancelled flight, spent two nights here. It is a newly renovated hotel in the hotel area of Funchal, a fair distance from the city centre, but with ocean view to compensate. Rooms are large and clean, breakfast is good, and the staff is very nice. The bar has music entertainment, there is a large...

The views down the coast over the lido and shoreline, past Funchal towards the cliffs near the airport are stunning - quite probably the best of all the hotels because, unlike many other hotels, there are no properties in front of the hotel as it is on the cliff. It only reopened in June last year after what appears to...

A lovely hotel in a stunning location; immaculate throughout. Lovely welcome and a sea view on the 8th floor. Weather changeable but didn't deter from a great holiday. Stayed B&B so can't comment on the evening meals but breakfast good and plentiful. Would definitely return.
