Not the most modern hotel but very comfortable rooms and good breakfast; ideal place to put your head down after a busy day. The rooftop pool had good views of the city and felt very private. All staff were very friendly and seemed genuinely interested in our experiences. One thing we did not expect however, was the added charge to...

Not the most luxurious hotel but comfortable and a good breakfast. We had no hotel booked when we arrived (because our hotel was booked through lowcostbeds which had gone bankrupt or more likely the boss decided to cash his chips in).Antonio was fantastic he found us a room for 2 nights and said to go for lunch and our room...

The hotel was disappointing. The decor doesn't quite pull of retro chic and just looks dated and tawdry. The rooms are small with no air conditioning. They are, however, kept immaculately clean. The breakfast was very basic but there was plenty of it. The staff are the saving grace. They are polite and helpful and the sole reason that I...

Myself and 3 friends were here for a week at the end of May/start of June, this was also my 2nd time at this hotel and the service was even better! The staff were so helpful in every aspect and generally lovely people. We had a 5 person who dropped out of the trip but I forgot to change the...

Booked this hotel last minute thanks to the cynical efforts of a low cost holiday firm, leaving us with little choice to recover our holiday. The reviews on TA were encouraging so we booked it through TA. It is on a nice quiet street close to the centre of Funchal and we walked everywhere easily from here. The only long...

Excellent location, easy to walk to main sights. Continental breakfast was very generous. All staff were very helpful, the reception staff in particular. The room was very clean. Will definitely return!

The best thing about this hotel and the most important for me is it has a great location. Its only a short walk to the old town, the marina and to the bus stops if you want to go further. The rooms are nothing fancy but they are clean and comfortable, the only thing is I do like a fridge...

First time in Madeira and couldn't be more pleased. The hotel in particular was excellent and great value. All of the staff were extremely friendly and helpful and right from the start, providing a glass of sparkling wine on arrival, did everything they could to make our stay as easy and enjoyable as possible. Brilliant location just a few minutes...

A value for money hotel. Very clean and well maintained by staff. Very dated in style but situation is excellent for marina and old townbars and restaurants. Staff were pleasant and helpful , breakfast was usual european style - fruit, yoghurt, meats and cheese, also hot food- bacon some days which was good quality. Bar and tv area with outside...

My first impression when I walked in to the hotel was very cosy place, the staff on reception made me feel very welcome, they were very helpful, especialy Jose Carlos, who goes an extra mile to look after the guests. The room was very clean and there was a fresh smell. Good design, however there could be better food choice...
