Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

Nice Hotel, very clean and well located, the reception staff are very friendly and helpful. The room was very well presented and cleaning staff were diligent. My only complaint was being chastised by a manager for filling a bottle of water from a carafe in the dining room, I actually needed it to take medication in my room. Normally I'd have explained but to be honest I was left feeling embarrassed.

A block from the subway in a great neighborhood this is a basic hotel that's clean and good enough for a night or two. The worst ding: refrigerator in my room did not work. Friendly staff. Restaurants and grocery stores nearby in a charming neighborhood.

I was there on business and then staying over for the weekend. I had found that hotels in the historical city center were quite expensive. I thus chose this hotel a bit further away, but just 100 m from an underground station, close to some restaurants and shops. The reception doesn’t look good -optically, but the service was efficient and friendly, the rooms are modern and practical, relatively quiet, and with a balcony. I didn’t have breakfast there as the dining room did not have a lot of charm, but there are some good places to have breakfast just around the corner. I can recommend the hotel and the area.

It's a very basic place and isn't well located to visit Lisbon. For most interesting places you need to take public transport. Rooms are more hostel like than hotel style. My wife was extremely ill after eating the cold meat for breakfast. It wasn't kept cold and in the warm climate it caused food poisening. I didn't eat so I was ok.
I wouldn't advise anybody to stay there unless you're on a tight budget and not fussy at all.

This is a converted residential complex. The staff was very welcoming but the facilities are a big let down. The biggest problem is the quality of the rooms. The bed covers had stains and all linen is clearly very old. The floor had not been hovered so walking around the room, you would dirty your socks/feet; essentially, it had not been cleaned. No pillows were provided. Soap was given but no shampoo/shower gel.

The Residential Canada is value for money. It is located in a quiet area and fantastic access to transportation. 20 mins by train to the airport. The Metro Station is 100 metres from the hotel.

There is a receptionist available 24 hours, they were welcoming and pleasant. Most of the rooms have a street view and the windows were double glazed keeping noise out.

The beds were rather small but okay for normal sized couples. The room had air-conditioning, a small TV with a quite a few English speaking channels.
You could also access free WIFI at reasonable speed 24 hours.

The bathroom has a bath tub and shower. Also the room came with an air dryer. The room was cleaned everyday and the towels changed.

The Hotel only provides continental breakfast for 5 Euros but will advise that you will better breakfast around the corner.

You are within 15 mins of all the tourist sites from the hotel.

Overall, the hotel was good for the value paid.

Stayed here while at a conference at the Instituto Superior Tecnico.
There is a lift so getting luggage upstairs is not a problem (my room was on the 5th floor).
It's close to a metro stop and easily accesible from the airport by bus.
The (ensuite) room was clean, aircondition and well soundproofed. I didn't find a huge ammount to do in the immediate vicinity but getting to the centre of town was easy. There are a few reasonably priced restraunt in the local area
While there is a internet connection, it was via ethernet in the reception and you had to pay for it. They did say they were going to install wireless.
Breakfast was pretty mediocre, but on the whole the hotel seemed good for the price.

Hotel Canada has recently been renovated. The rooms are pretty large and clean. The beds were pretty hard. The free snacks and water are a plus.
Parking is 9.50 euros for 24 hours at a lot nearby. Good location with plenty of nearby restaurants.

I have nothing bad to say!! Staff was friendly, breakfast included and it was good, I slept well, they keep your luggage in the hotel for free if you have to check out before going to the airport, balcony, everything you need is near (like metro, restaurants, mall). Rooms are clean and they clean them every day. It wasn't too expensive. Cooler in the room was really good when it was 36 degrees out and we are from cold Finland! We are definitely coming back :)!!
