We spent two nights in this B&B - fantastic service from our late check in to our early departure. Ricardo was very helpful on check in and Rita arranged our early breakfast. The rooms are pretty much as shown on line, there is aircon and TV along with shower and toilet. The access to the B&B is via keycard and is 24hr. The location is great, just outside is a cafe and late night bar area. The B&B is close to Rato metro which is Easy for the airport. The breakfast is super fresh and on our last day they made a special effort to get it all in place before we left. Lisbon is a great city to visit and next time we go we will stay here.…
Casa do Principe is very well located in Lisbon, close to the centre, but within a quieter and charming neighbourhood of Principe Real. The facilities are great, clean and good service provided to the guests. Perhaps the breakfast could have been better for the accommodation price rate.…
Excellent location, next to the Principe Real square and a walking distance to Bairro Alto and Baixa. There is a lot of nice restaurants and cafes, as well as a small design and antique shops. I have visited Lisbon several times and I have to say that this area and Casa do Principe is one of the best and nicest places in the city to stay. The staff is very friendly and helpful - they helped us to reserve a table in one of the top restaurants ("Eleven") is Lisbon and provided a transfer from the Airport that was very handy taking into account that we arrived late. It is a B&B type of accommodation and it is very cosy - you will feel like at home there. We stayed at the room facing to the Botanical Garden and it was very quiet and had a nice view. The bed was very comfortable and good.…
A short time before our stay, I received an email welcoming us, and informing us of extra services they offer, like airport pickup etc. I didn't reply, since I didn't need to order any extras, and a while later a member of staff actually phoned me, to make sure I had received it, and to check which flight we were arriving on. When we arrived, the receptionist sat us down with a city map (and a welcome drink!) and recommended some restaurants. She also told us that if we wanted help or tips on what to do and see, we could come to the reception desk after breakfast, and they could help us plan a day out. All the staff members we met spoke excellent English and were very friendly and helpful. The location was very good for us, central but relatively quiet, and lots of convenient dinner options near the hotel. We took the metro from the airport to Rato, from there you can walk to the hotel, unless you have a lot of luggage (we had one piece of checked luggage each, and the walk was still fine) or small kids with you. There is also a bus stop right outside the hotel which will take you down to Cais do Sodre. The park across the street (Jardim do Principe Real) and the botanical gardens behind the hotel are both very nice. Our room (The Victoria and Albert room, one of the cheaper historic rooms) faced the street and the park, but there was very little noise, and the windows have old fashioned wooden shutters you can close if you want extra silence and darkness. For a bugdet room it was pretty large and well equipped, and like the whole buildning: beautiful! And especially important for Norwegians in Portugal in the middle of July: the air conditioning was very efficient and very quiet, so we got a comfortable night's sleep in the heat. The breakfast buffet was relatively simple, but this is after all a B&B and not a hotel (even though it feels like a hotel, and not even a budget one). The breakfast still had everything you'd need, and was fresh and tasty.…
20 min from airport and in really nice quiet location. Clean and very comfortable. Rita really helpfull on restaurant tips, the one on the back of the hotel superb! The only recommendation is coffee mashine.
"The room inspired by the city of Lisbon is a great choice, very well designed and beautiful with a small balcony."Read full review
