Emporium Lisbon Suites offers its guests a new city experience in accommodation. We are located in the heart of downtown Lisbon and next to the main attractions of the city, where tradition and history blend smoothly with the present and the modern. Every Suite offers a fantastic river view from where you can enjoy the unique light of Lisbon. The building was originally built at the end of the 19th Century, was used in the past as a warehouse for codfish, sugar, tea and coffee, being part of the commercial scene that dominated this street and the surrounding areas. Totally renovated in 2013, it was transformed in a premium accommodation building with Suites from 30 to 60 square meters with capacity for 2 to 4 persons. Perfect for couples, families and friends, for short breaks or extended stays, all the Suites where individually decorated so there aren't two alike. However, all of them matches in comfort and service and offer all essential facilities for a remarkable stay..

This is a wonderful place to stay in Lisbon well located to visit most of the attractions in old town. It is a low rise attractive building, very clean, large and quiet, and helpful staff. It has an elevator and a kitchen stocked with enough coffee to last a week. There are numerous restaurants and numerous bus stops in the immediate neighbourhood.
Tip: Local cabs, green in colour, are very reasonable. To go to Belhem, a must visit, or the only modern shopping plaza is less than 10 euros. Books say airport costs 20 euros, but the cab picked us up at our place and took us to the airport for 22 euros including tip. All drivers were pleasant and informative. Better than public transportation!

The suites are nicely appointed and large compared to a normal hotel room. But it's the absolute ultimate location for visiting tourists. Our suite had windows that opened and were totally soundproof for a great sleep without any outside street noise with awesome views of the river all for reasonable price.

My husband and I first stayed here 5 years ago, and loved our experience so much that we added Lisbon as our final honeymoon stop. The staff is so organized and kindly accommodated us requesting the same room (the 4th floor has windows that open to a wide ledge before the roof where we loved sitting with a glass of wine and enjoying the views). The room is one of the nicest I’ve stayed in and is an incredible value for the location and size. The location on the edge of the Alfama is fabulous with countless restaurants and sites to see within walking distance. We can’t recommend Emporium enough!

We stayed in Rm 4.2 for 3 nights. Prior to check in, our interaction with Sandra and Sofia was very positive. We asked for a high floor which they honored and were able to check in 2 hrs early, as requested.
We were excited about the boutique feel and unique room decor, but unfortunately, our room did not impress (looking at pics of other rooms I think maybe ours was the least 'inspired' as far as decor). It was large and overlooked the park but we did not think the views were as good as mentioned in other reviews (this was one of the selling features for us). The bed was a little too hard for our liking, sheets were worn out and scratchy, the bathroom showed some wear and tear and the shower/tub curtain had a musty smell (suggest a room with a walk in shower instead). We did not use the dresser as we found tiny ants and chose to keep our clothes in the suitcase. While the room was insulated from outside noise (property is located in a pedestrian area), the inside insulation was very poor and we could clearly hear our neighbor' conversations, coughs and even snoring. Also beware that you will hear the nearby bells. With a short stay we did not make much use of the kitchen other than using the coffeemaker (coffee was poor). The fridge was too loud so we unplugged it.
There are two elevators: the first only goes up to level 1 (where the office is located) and then a second one to the other levels. In more than one occasion (including at check in) the main elevator was fully occupied with housekeeping items (an ingenious solution on their part due to lack of space, but who wants to squeeze in with dirty sheets?). As it is a limited service property, office hours are short and when we had trouble with our safe, found that no one was there to help (in spite of still being within business hours). Access to building and room are via two separate codes and we initially thought that would be very convenient but quickly learned that it is quite an annoyance as the codes were very long and not easy to memorize so we constantly had to pull out our phones to look them up.
I will say that the rooms and common space were maintained very clean and had a lovely scent. The Wifi was decent and location was very good for both walking and metro/bus access. However, there are many other properties within the price range that would offer a great location and perhaps better value for the money.
I'm a bit perplexed by the 4 star rating and the many positive reviews. Perhaps our room and room location were sub par compared to others.

We really enjoyed our two day stay here, and could have easily stayed a week. We purchased the breakfast basket and it was enough food for two breakfasts and a lunch and we still didn’t finish it all! The location was excellent and we were easily able to walk to all the neighborhoods and enjoy the nearby restaurants and shops. Our view over the flowering tree in the square was delightful. The contactless entry was easy, and all communication with hotel prior to our stay was quickly responded to. We highly recommend this property to couples or small families that want a spacious, quiet, and relaxing retreat right in the center of it all.

I want to keep it a secret, but I can’t!
I highly recommend staying at The emporium Lisbon suites. The suites are large and It has cooking facilities available so that you can cook meals for yourself if you’d like. It is close by restaurants and cafe, the Alfama neighborhood is nearby; the Clube De Fado, which I recommend as well, is nearby, it has a view of the river; it is near restaurants and cafes. Metro stations and bus stops are nearby. The staff is friendly, helpful and responsive. Perfect place to stay!

We loved these suites. So convenient to great restaurants and waterfront, train, cable cars. We had the top floor attic apartment which was really cool in terms of design...it had an attic ceiling so you have to just duck down on one side of it but it was such a cool apartment that it was worth ducking on that side. The owners are attentive, texting right away about any questions, check-in, etc. And there's a restaurant with excellent vegetarian options a few feet away, along with loads of other cute restaurants and a small grocery store nearby.

We absolutely loved this hotel for our family. It felt like a home away from home. The concierge was great and helped us find a guide and get taxis and the like. The studio apartment itself was beautiful and fun and spacious for our family of 4. The location is literally perfect and if you have smaller kids, there is a playground on the river right out front (my five year old's favorite thing in Portugal). If / when we come back to Lisbon, we will be staying her again 100%.

This place was just amazing!
The apartment was so spacious and the atmosphere was simply perfect.

The location close to the city center is perfect, you can find around many small restaurants and bars, only few steps from the castle, Praca do Comércio or Rua Augusta. The stop of bus or metro just in front of the window.

We really enjoy our stay and I'm sure we'll come back.

My husband and I totally enjoyed our stay at this wonderful guesthouse. The staff were very friendly, responsive and helpful. The accommodation was spacious and clean and the bed very comfortable. We ordered the breakfast basket for the day after we arrived. It included a great selection of fruit, yogurt, cheese, ham, bread & croissants, juice, milk, butter & cereal - supplies that lasted us for 3-4 days. Eating breakfast in our room helped us make the most of our sightseeing & activity plans each day of our stay. The guesthouse is located within a 5 minute walk of a Metro station, bus stops, a mini-super market and three restaurants where we enjoyed fabulous dinners (Discreto, VDB Bistronomie, Lisboa Tu et Eu 2). We couldn't have asked for a better place to be our "home away from home". Highly recommend.

Yes, very small so one person and two suitcases is all that fit. But hubby took the lift and I walked up the stairs. Don't let this put you off, it's a fantastic property in a great location!!

Do you have any apartments available with the sofa bed in a separate room to the bedroom

Hello! Thank you for your message. Regarding your question, the sofa bed is located in the same area of the bedroom. In fact, it is an open space, with kitchenette. Only the bathroom is in a separate area, inside of the suite. Please, feel free to contact us if you may have any other question. Kind Regards, Emporium Team

Yes. Big and beautiful and modern. It looks like a really high end boutique hotel except the rooms are huge and there's a kitchenette.
