Perfect hotel for sightseeing. Rooms are classical, super clean, amazing bed, great bathroom products by Miller Harris, fluffy towels. Had a room on second floor facing the square, windows are double glazed so still quiet. Great breakfast with hot options (eggs, pancakes etc). Front desk, doormen, restaurant and roof deck terrace staff were all top notch and super friendly and...

The rooms are not large in this centrally located Lisbon 5 Star, but that is about the only downside to this well run hotel. High quality amenities and an extremely helpful front desk staff are key to providing a very pleasant stay. Breakfast is pretty good, too.

The staff is the most welcoming from the moment you arrive at the hotel! Very kind and helpful, personal! Remembers the names of the guests! The rooms are appointed with good taste, and are comfortable! Especially clean! Cheers the Housekeepers for the great job! Bairro Alto Hotel is ideally situatet in Lisbon: Public transport, Baixa Bairro Alto Chiado are just a few steps away. The rooms are although very quiet because of double glazing of the windows. Facilities and cleanness of the rooms are immaculate, as to be consistent with a 5-Star hotel. Food and beverage in the breakfast room, restaurant, Terrace on the...

Bairro Alto rooftop bar is amazing....small roof terrace bar but with great views. Get there early to secure a good table but well worth it and a good way to start a night out in Lisbon. I would recommend it and am enjoying the view as I write this review!

This hotel was a perfect choice. The service is impeccable. Everyone from the reception staff, to the breakfast servers, to the doormen, to the terrace servers---it was always service with a smile. The rooftop service could be a bit slow, but nothing to get in a stew about. The location is ultimately what makes this hotel such a perfect place...

My wife and I spent three nights at the Barrio Alto Hotel at the beginning of our recent trip to Portugal. The Barrio Alto is an excellent boutique hotel set in the most interesting and “happening” neighborhood of Lisbon. While the rooms are on the small side -- this is an urban hotel -- they are very well appointed, with...

This was my third visit to Lisboa and I had never stayed at the Bairro Alto, but knew its reputation as being a premier hotel in the city. This is a beautiful hotel in a wonderful neighborhood with easy access to restaurants, the Metro, sights, shopping, bars, and nightlife. Upon arriving our room was not ready and we didn’t even...

Location was central. Hotel was older so rooms were on somewhat small but tastefully decorated. We were on first floor facing the street and noise was not an issue at all. The breakfast room was light and modern. Breakfast selection was very good and made to order a la carte breakfast items were enthusiastically offered. Servers were most cheerful and...

This boutique hotel is absolutely terrific. We stayed for four nights in May and were upgraded to a junior suit which was beautiful. It has 3 juliet balconies overlooking the square and 6 different windows. The room was beautifully appointed and the bathroom was large and very modern. As everyone else has said, the location is perfect. The 28 tram...

“We were put on the first floor and at first I was disappointed thinking with all the traffic and horns outside it would be very loud. But they had 2 sets of double pained french doors with a balcony that was charming. I didn't even know we had all that noise outside until I opened up the doors. I couldn't believe how quiet the rooms were! I enjoyed seeing and hearing the life outside and to know how quiet those doors made the room I was very impressed. our room was a Supreme room kind of small but considering the location thats normal but very comfortable. The hotel offered every amenity you could imagine,”
