Only went to the terrace - didn't stay in the hotel. The terrace has gorgeous views across the river and catches the sun in the afternoon. Only space for 40-50 people on small tables so lovely peaceful, calm atmosphere. Great place to watch the sunset. Drinks are expensive (soft drinks especially) but you're paying for the view!

My Girlfriend and I had a wonderful weekend in Lisbon staying at the Barrio Alto Hotel. The hotels location can't be beat and the staff was wonderful, always offering suggestion on where to eat. We particularly enjoyed having cocktails on the terrace before venturing out into the nightlife the city has to offer. The complimentary breakfast was also lovely and...

What a beautiful hotel in a central location with an awesome staff! Near great shopping and restaurants and transportation. The on-site restaurant is very good. And the customer service is above and beyond. If you have a little extra to spend definitely choose this spot! Be sure to see Cláudio, he is the bomb! :)

Would recommend this hotel to everyone. Just stayed for four days - the staff seemed to anticipate your every need before you knew you needed something. Our room on the 4th floor, with a small balcony, was ideal. Room service could not be faulted - towels, bed linen changed daily. Evening turndown service for the room all went to making...

The Tram 28 stops right outside the hotel. The hotel is very convenient for shops, restaurants and the town centre, and free walking tours meet in the square opposite the prroperty. One of the best breakfasts we've ever had with super attentive, polite staff and delightful fresh fruit. Cooked options, such as eggs, are brought to your table. We both...

The rooms are spacious and quiet. Staff extremely helpful. Location central. Bar is funky. The Restaurant and/or breakfast room are cosy, but the food makes up for it. The Staff could not do enough to accommodate our every need. Lovely hotel with very comfortable beds. The Roof Top Bar was incredible. We had beautiful views of the city and the...
