We stayed here for one night after returning to Lisbon from Albufeira. We wanted somewhere that was convenient for getting to the airport the next day. We were very happy with this hotel because not only was it steps away from the red metro line that goes to the airport, but it was at the pont where the blue line intersects the red so there was easy access to downtown as well. The hotel itself starts on the 7th floor of a high rise building. We had a newly renovated room which was small but nice, with a very nicely renovated private bathroom. We had an excellent view from our room of a large park and fountain.
The breakfast that was included in the price was quite basic but ok. There are many restaurants and bakeries within easy walking distance if you wanted something better.
The people in reception were very helpful and friendly.
We would definitely recommend this for both short stays to be close to the airport and for longer stays if you want easy access to the tourist attractions of Lisbon.

Good find. Great price, handy location directly at the metro station, easy to get to the center. Room was large and clean enough, great shower, comfy-ish bed. Very small TV but who cares... WiFi connection was rather bad though in our room. Would go there again.

Stayed recently at this hotel while visiting Lisbon for work. Very close to Alameda Metro Station (the station entrance is literally outside the hotel front door) and very close to Lisbon city centre. The hotel itself was very basic but vey clean and only cost 34 euros per night (may be the price had to to with the fact that I stayed there for 5 nights). Most reviews I had read were not giving it a very good rating and I was quite cautious about it, however I was very pleasantly surprised. Maybe it was the room I was in, but it was not noisy at all, as I had read in some reviews and the breakfast might not have had a big variety of stuff to choose from (just bread, croissant or pastel de nata and cereal) but it was more than decent. And the staff were very helpful and friendly. All in all, a very good choice for its price.

I was place near a very noisy vent pipe. It made noise all night and I was unable to sleep at all. I complaned about this and they said me that they knew that some rooms had this problem but no one told me during the check in. They don't see to care about nothing (only money of course). I left the place the next morning.

One of the top worst places i have ever been.
I've been assigned a room at first floor, in front of an intersection with semaphore; in two nights i've been able to sleep around 6 hours total using earplugs !
The room has quite old furnitures, unbreathable air coming from the bathroom pipes, no shampoo provided.
Considering the price and what offered, the unbalance is quite evident.
Never be back there!

This residencial is in a nice part of Lisbon and the metro station is right at the door, very convenient if coming from the airport as it's on the same line. There is a cafe/restaurant downstairs in the same building and lots of restaurants nearby. There is a supermarket around the corner. The room was bright and airy (I stayed on the eighth floor) and I didn't find it too noisy. The staff were very friendly and extremely helpful with advice.
Breakfast was fine with only a few options but delicious fresh breadrolls.
The price of the room was excellent value in such a convenient location

We stayed here for 4 nights in the second week of May 2017. The staff here are extremely friendly and helpful, especially the two gentlemen who work on reception. The hotel is on the upper floors of a tall building overlooking the Alameda and has really good views towards the centre of Lisbon. The rooms are simply furnished but are clean and comfortable and they have everything you need. Every room has private bathroom and includes breakfast. Most hotels in Lisbon in this price bracket don't offer private bathrooms or breakfast so the Fonte Luminosa stands out for good value.
The whole hotel is furnished in wonderful retro style especially in the lounge and the breakfast room. The breakfast was nice - juice, cereals, bread with butter, cheese or preserves, pastries and choice of hot drinks - one day they even served the famous Pasteis de Nata - Portuguese custard tarts at breakfast which are delicious.
The location of this hotel is perfect. You could not be any closer to the entrance of Alameda metro station as it is literally just outside the front door of the hotel and it's only 10 minutes to the centre of Lisbon on the Green Line and 15 minutes to the airport on the Red Line. This is one reason we chose the Fonte Luminosa because it's on a direct metro line to both the airport and the city centre without needing to change. Obviously the very competitive price here was another factor.
Overall, a lovely 4 days here in pleasant, clean, convenient accommodation that's easy on the pocket.

I stayed here for 5 nights during Holy Week. This is a very nice basic place with an excellent location. The Alameda metro stop has an entrance by the hotel's front door. The neighborhood is very nice with cafes, bakeries, grocery stores, MEO store to purchase a SIM card and a nice 20-minute walk to the city center. Breakfast is continental.

There is a good cafeteria located next to the hotel. It is a pleasant place to eat or relax with a coffee or beer.

The hotel staff is marvelous. The desk clerks speak English and enjoy helping guests. I must give special credit to Luis who always offered great advice on restaurants and sites to visit. It is easy to see that Luis loves Lisboa.

Prior to arriving at the hotel I sent several requests for information; the responses were always quick and helpful.

A week after leaving I realized my earbuds were missing. I sent a note to the hotel to see if they were left there. Luis found them and mailed them to me immediately. This is a great example of the helpfulness of Luis and Portuguese people in general.

The hotel has a 24h reception that was fast and efficient even at 2am (highly appreciated!). The hotel location is good, immediately next to the metro station where two metro lines cross (including the one going to the airport). The rooms are small, clean and really basic (no amenities beyond bedsheet and towels). The elevator does not work for levels above the reception, so had to take the stairs up and down with luggage. Breakfast is quite simple as well - it's better to walk to one of the many backeries in the area and get it there.

Surprisingly the room is very clean and cozy. We had the park view. For english speaking guests, when taking the lift, go up to 6th floor and from there you need to step out and tell the receptionist you need to go up to hotel floors 7th or 8th. There is a metro station right in front of the hotel. Finding the entrance is quite tricky as it is a very small glass door right near the stairs to metro underground.
Unfortunately though, we left our camera in the room and we havent heard from the hotel room 805 even after we emailed them .

There are no steps to get to the elevator from the entrance. And there are no steps from the street entrance to the elevator. You'll be fine.
