This Hotel was really really nice. We lived at The top floor in a great room with a fantastic view. Clean and fresh bathroom. The ned was very comfortable and we got breakfast delivered even though we checked out early. I highly recomend it and would love to go back.

Two nights at the Lisboa Carmo Hotel. Great Hotel, great location, very helpful staff, delicious breakfast, everything was perfect! Cherry on the cake: a very pleasant and efficient return transfer from and to the airport.

Great hotel conveniently location in Chiado near the Elevador de Santa Justa. Opposite the hotel in Largo do Carmo are three or four restaurants that spill out onto the square. We grazed there, took an aperitif and watched the Portuguese team win over France. The hotel is on a corner and the rooms overlook two different streets, so are airy...

The Lisboa Carmo hotel was great from the moment we walked through the front doors. This quiet low-key little hotel sits in the corner of a beautiful tree lined plaza with several charming little restaurants with outdoor seating. The hotel itself was clean, modern and the Castle View from our 4th floor window was spectacular. It was a view that...

We had requested a quiet room and it was away from the elevator and truly quiet. The halls are carpeted so you don't hear people in the hallway. Everyday a big bottle of mineral water and two small bottles of cold water in the mini refrigerator were left for us. After climbing up and down the hills of Lisbon all...

Really enjoyed our stay here. Great sized room. We were top floor with amazing views of the castle and lisbon roof tops. A great location and easy to get around. Nice bars and restaurants near by. A very relaxed hotel with nice atmosphere. I would highly recommend staying here.

This hotel is ideally located in the centre of Lisbon, which was perfect for our short stay in the city. The hotel is tucked away in a side street just off a leafy square and we found the hotel quiet and peaceful. The room was clean and modern, but the bathroom only gets 2 stars as the sink looks good...

5th floor room overlooking the Square and the water. Incredible view. Beautiful room, comfortable bed, exceptional shower. Well situated for shopping and restaurants. Conveniently located to a number of attractions. Your only as good as your staff...exceptional service in all respects. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Lisbon.

Nice central hotel from which to explore the city. Friendly staff, ok breakfast. Did not like the carpets in the room nor the twin beds pushed together especially since we requested a non carpeted room at booking and a double bed . Our shower had mold which was not good and the air conditioner seemed to be set at a...

A bit small but its in the middle of the city so as expected. 3. Location - no more than a 5 minute walk to all the main attractions 4. Absolute value for money. Looking...

Staying in Chiado & Carmo

Neighbourhood Profile
Chiado & Carmo
The traditionally trendy "Chiado" (literally, "squeak", the nickname of a 16th century poet) offers plenty of cafes, restaurants and bars where you can stop for a cafe or cocktail, after exploring its streets, shops, art galleries, theaters, museums and viewpoints. It's also the home to the statue of the famous statue of portuguese poet Fernando Pessoa, having is usual espresso at "A Brasileira" as he used to. You can also enjoy breathtaking views of Lisbon from the Elevador de Santa Justa or the Carmo Convent, for example. A commercial neighborhood at its core, especially for its Garrett and Carmo streets, Chiado is to this day a mandatory visit in Lisbon.
