Had a great time here, fantastic interesting hotel, everything has been made with care and it's a very creative environment, from the room to the restaurant/bar that has a great view overlooking the square. Great location, very very helpful staff for directions and bookings, really felt at home, can't fault the place at all. Even the breakfast staff were helpful,...

We were there in February, wonderful experience. Nothing new to add to what others have said. Location is ideal, near shopping and other interesting parts of Lisbon, short walk to Alfama. Great restaurants nearby as well. Staff was very helpful. You can get there by bus from the airport. Wifi was great as well.

I also agree with all other reviewers to say this was an excellent hotel. We stayed there one night last week prior to our departure back to The States. We just did a random search for hotels in Lisbon and booked this for an eve. It was soooo conveniently located in the middle of Baixo near tons of shops and...

I can only agree with all the other reviews, this is a really excellent little hotel. The staff are fantastic, including the very helpful airport shuttle driver. The breakfast is spectacular (real coffee and great selection, which includes Portuguese custard tarts and champagne!). The rooms are not large, but comfy and well equipped. The decoration of the whole hotel is...

One of the best all round hotels I have stayed in. We were picked up from the airport by the friendliest hotel staff member. All of the staff at the hotel were exceptionally helpful and friendly. Location was amazing, very easy to get around, lots of restaurants nearby if you have had a big day and want something close. Breakfast...

This hotel has one of the best locations in the city. It is 1 minute walk to 2 of the main squares, 2 minutes walk to trams, hop on hop off buses and 5 minutes walk to the river. We had a medium room on the 4th floor with a great little balcony over looking both squares. Each afternoon I...

Besides the good location the entire experience, starting with a guided shuttle ride from the airport to the Hotel and ending with the same guide/driver, was awesome. Breakfast was superb, the rooms were excellent, the help in finding the right spots to go was magnificent, ... Thanks !!!

We loved this hotel. The position is perfect, right in the center and half a minute from the Rossio metro/bus/tram stop. The hotel is just beautiful. Great designed and a various areas to relax. Loved the “themes” (we peeked Zen). The room was gorgeous, clean and wide, with three big windows and free Wi-Fi. Breakfast was incredible.

This hotel is in a great location - right next to the main square, shopping and the main pedestrian walkway to the water. What was so surprising was how quiet the room was! We never heard anyone. The staff was extremely helpful, they even downloaded locations, phone numbers and gave directions on the map for coin stores and antique tiles....

Staying in Baixa, Rossio & Restauradores

Neighbourhood Profile
Baixa, Rossio & Restauradores
A pending candidate to become a World Heritage Site, Lisbon's downtown (the "Baixa Pombalina", or simply "Baixa") is a perfect example of anti-earthquake construction, having been rebuilt following the 1755 earthquake by the famous Marquês de Pombal (hence its name). Its offer is vast: restaurants and cafes in Rossio and Restauradores, outlets and shops in the Áurea, Augusta, Prata and other famous streets, the imponent Praça do Comércio and its Arch, the luxury shops along the Avenida da Liberdade, this is the beating heart of the city center. The Baixa also grants easy access to trains leading to Sintra, the trams that go around the Castle hill, old neighborhoods or even take you to Belém, and Lisbon's traditional restaurants and cafes. Considering a visit to the Fashion and Design Museum (free entrance) and don't forget to try the famous liquor, "ginjinha"!

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Enjoying the best possible location in Lisbon, this modern boutique design hotel is born, like a phoenix, from the ancient structures of one of the first luxury hotels in Portugal. The daring use of the colour Lilac in its façade, right on the traditional Rossio Square, denounce to the world the purposes of reinvention and exclusivity offered to a happy few. ... more   less
