We decided to stay in Belem and travel into Lisbon. The hotel is bigger than I first realized from the outside. It's very well located in Belem close to all the sights. The one issue we had was finding parking since there is no hotel parking. This is no small feat since parking is a premium. The hotel has a... More

It is a nice hotel, well located in Belém and very close to Los Jerónimos monastery. The room is wide, comfortable, and it is soundproof from other rooms ... But not to the exterior with lots of descending planes. The bed is superb making the quality of sleep excelent. The bathroom is quite normal, hot water quickly available but on... More

The hotel is in an excellent location for walking to some restaurants and a few shops. There's not a lot of choices as compared to a bigger city, like Lisbon. It's across the street from the Jeronimos Monastery, which is quite beautiful. Depending on traffic, it was a 10-30 minute (4-10euro) uber ride to the Lisbon city center. The hotel... More

This modern small hotel is located on a quieter road off many city attractions. The bonus is it is very close to my favorite egg tart shop-Pastéis de Belém and they do deliver those to your room every day....OMG, love it! The lobby is inviting with modern design and the room is also very nice! Compact but sufficient. I love... More

We got overbooked and had to stay an extra 2 days, we went right back to the Jeronimos 8. It was clean, modern, great breakfast and staff were very helpful. Trolley cars and Buses are only a one block walk. Bank ATM next door. Restaurants 1, 2 or 3 block walk in a charming community city. 10 minute bus ride... More

This is a modern style hotel, with a good breakfast and comfortable room. I found it to be very adequate to our needs. I paid 80 euros per night, which was cheap for Lisbon in August. This is a good place, two steps from the Jeronimos Monastery, near pasteis de Belém, Torre de Belém and many interesting restaurants by the... More

I stayed here for a short visit to Lisbon and was very happy with its proximity to all that I wanted to see in Belem. Across the street from the monastery and the cultural center; short walk to enjoy the pasties de Belem; near the Belem Kiosk, waterfront, and restaurants; short walk to the tower. The staff was very friendly... More

I enjoy this Hotel very close Jeronimos monastery and " Padrao dos descubrimentos". Ideal for jogging in front of river Tejo. Also you can visit in 5 min a place where you can taste the tipically dessert of Lisbon . The Hotel is modern with minimalistic rooms. Wifi is slow in the rooms but speedy in common areas.

The location is good for being out at the west side of the city. It is very close to the Monestary and the Cultural Center Belem (CCB). However, the main city center is about 20 minutes away by tram or 10 by taxi. Bathroom was a good size, the room was rather small. The A/C blew right onto the bed,... More

This is by far the best place to stay when looking for a comfortable hotel in the middle of Belem. We booked this hotel because of the festival NOS ALIVE (and we have been there before and that was also great). The staff is friendly, housekeeping is good, rooms are clean, breakfast is included (modest, but ok). Tip: ask for... More

Staying in Belem

Neighbourhood Profile
Belem
Belém is the "capital of the Portuguese Discoveries" and a photographer's paradise. You can spend an entire day exploring this neighborhood: monuments (Jerónimos Monastery, Belém Tower, Monument to the Discoveries), museums (Coach Museum, Centro Cultural de Belém) and breathtaking views of the Tagus river will make your visit worth your time. Belém also offers a variety of restaurants and cafes, namely the famous - and delicious - "Pastéis de Belém" (typical Portuguese custard tarts; make sure you buy an extra box of those!). Easily accessible from Lisbon's historic center, Belém is a must-do, especially if you're spending more than one day visiting the Portuguese capital.
