Hotel Lisboa Plaza is owned and managed by the same family since its construction in 1953 and is located just off Avenida da Liberdade, in the historic center of Lisbon. Lisbon charm is felt inside the hotel: the Portuguese decor with different ambiances and the welcoming feeling. Rooms vary in size (from petite rooms to junior suites) but all of them offering up to date technologies. A rare combination of tradition, charm and modern comfort.

One of the nicest hotels I’ve ever stayed in - comfortable spacious room, central location and fantastic service at reception service. Lots of local character and tradition. Excellent and abundant buffet breakfast. Highly recommended.

We had a family room for three, two adults one teen and the room was perfect. Very spacious , good sized additional bed and still room for a sofa & table/chairs. We arrived on an early flight and the reception kindly changed our room to one which was available so we could check straight in which was great. We had breakfast each day and this was to a high standard. Freshly brewed tea & coffee , chilled juices & fizz if desired! Plenty of choice to suit all and the teen loved the pancakes, donuts and chocolate fountain. The staff were great at keeping on top of things so you didn’t wait for replenishments. We had drinks in the bar and again service was good , the bar area is very nice and great when you want a last drink before bed! The roof terrace looked lovely but it wasn’t quite the weather for it. The tea/coffee/water in the lounge 24/7 was great. We took time before deciding on the Lisboa Plaza as we were unsure where we wanted to be based , the location however is perfect just a two minute walk to Avenida metro and a comfortable walk to Rossio and surrounding areas. All in all a wonderful stay and we hope to return.

We stayed 3 nights for a short break in Lisbon. Friendly and efficient staff (our room was available early); rooms sparkling clean and comfortable. There is a guest lounge with free tea/coffee available all day.

The breakfast buffet is outstanding and is available 7am to 12 - fresh fruit and yogurt; hot dishes; lovely pastries and a chocolate fountain!

The hotel is 2 minutes walk from Avenida metro station, but is just off the main road so very quiet.

The hotel does not have a full restaurant (but does light meals); there is a small local restaurant round the corner (Restaurant Gina) which does good local food eg grilled fish.

An excellent location for a city break.

We booked three nights directly with the hotel for May. We were immediately charged for the rooms and they were 100% refundable if cancelled 7 days prior to the stay. We cancelled the reservations on March 12th and 10 days later we are still waiting for the amount to be refunded. It would seem if they have the ability to instantaneously charge my credit card they could refund my money a lot sooner than this is taking.

Dear Worldtraveller2100, We sincerely understand your frustration facing these unprecedented times. We are refunding all reservations that have been cancelled according to its condition and we are processing them as soon as we can. As you may imagine, we are receiving a big amount of cancellations and there are also delays on the part of the banks and credit card companies. If you wish, you may contact us so we can check and tell you what is the point in time of your refund. We also urge you to contact your bank or credit card company in order to know if they have already received some notice of your order of payment. We can assure you that all refundable cancellations will be paid as soon as it is possible. Reservations that have not been cancelled according to the cancellation policy, we grant a free credit for future use. The Lisboa Plaza Hotel has opened its doors in 1954 and is very proud to have always honored its obligations. These are hard times for everybody and we are doing our best to meet our Clients expectations as we have done. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation. Kindest regards, Diogo Laranjo General Manager

Located near upscale shops, green spaces and a metro station Hotel Lisboa Plaza is an incredible find for under 80 Euros a night. Family-operated with comfortable rooms and a lounge with Coffee or Tea 24/7 there is also an on-site bar, 24-hour fitness center and included breakfast Buffet. Strong wifi, good water pressure and a quiet cobblestone street add to the experience.

The breakfast in the hotel was superb. We stayed here three nights and found the accommodations fine. The location was close to the shopping district; the staff was friendly and knowledgeable and the price was fine for the value that we received. I would gladly recommend this hotel to others.

We really enjoyed our stay and appreciated the helpful staff, the comfortable room, and the tasty breakfast to start our days. The beds were very comfortable and the room was quiet at night, allowing for several good nights of sleep. The staff went out of their way to help us with our numerous bags, restaurant recommendations and just general kindness. And the breakfast spread provided great variety, hot and cold; we started each day here with a leisurely breakfast. We're so glad we found this gem of a hotel from one of Rick Steves' travel books - it was a great recommendation.

The hotel was Grand. The staff were amazing. Could not do enough. So friendly and helpful that it felt like leaving a family member when we checked out. On arrival into this grand reception they directed us to teas and coffees in the lounge area. Shortly after checking into our room there was a knock on the door and to our surprise a bottle of champagyne on ice.
Breakfast in the morning was all fresh and all cakes a pastries are home cooked.
The hotel did not have a pool but gave us access to their sister hotel with a pool around the corner.

Having been completely abandoned by TAP after our flight was cancelled after an hour waiting on the tarmac, we found ourselves stranded in Lisbon in the middle of the night with no luggage and no help in finding accommodation at short notice. We eventually found this hotel and were warmly welcomed. All the staff throughout our enforced stay in Lisbon were very efficient and pleasant and we enjoyed the spacious rooms (the hotel has perfect rooms for families, both enjoining rooms and spacious suites), the scrumptious breakfast and the convenient location. The facilities are elegant and spacious and the service was great. Our next choice when we return to Lisbon. Thank you!

Just returned from a 4 night stay in this lovely hotel. Every member of staff was welcoming and friendly and went out of their way to ensure a great stay. The location just off Avenida Liberdade was excellent and metro blue line very close by. The breakfast buffet was incredible and everything was fresh, hot and delicious. The lounge and bar areas were very comfortable and the complimentary tea, coffee and port (evenings only) were much appreciated. Would highly recommend

We did not attempt to walk to the cruise terminal with our luggage. We took an Uber, which took 12 minutes and cost 8 Euros (before tip, June 2022). You might want to get the exact address from the cruise line or your travel agent. We had a general address and assumed the driver would know best, so we had a long city block once we got out of his car.

Just add to Colin’s comment, walking in Lisbon East and West town has a lot of hills, recommend taxi or Uber
