Hotel As Janelas Verdes (the Green Window) is in Lapa, an upmarket district of Lisbon, next to the beautiful museum for Antique Arts. From the third floor library, there is a view of the Tejo, the River Tagus. Breakfast is superb, available all morning. The room we stayed in was attractive and the bathroom large and well appointed. The hotel is...

This is a boutique hotel for those who appreciate history, views and European charm. It was formally a city home to royal court officials therefore its architecture and history are indeering. The service, cleanliness, amenities and attention to detail are top notch. Although you may feel the Ritz Carlon quality, it is an older mansion, therefore I'm puzzled that certain...

As Janelas Verdes is a very charming, beautiful hotel with lovely, helpful staff. Our room was a good size with river views, a nice bathroom, and all the communal areas were beautifully decorated and relaxing to sit in. In spite of all the decorative ornaments, the hotel was absolutely spotless. I would whole-heatedly recommend it and would definitely stay here...

A fantastic boutique hotel situated with relatively easy access to central Lisbon or towards Belem. The hotel itself is a charming townhouse tucked into a side street near an art museum and is full of delightful touches such as a spiral staircase, water feature but perhaps most spectacularly the library. Boasting an honesty bar, complementary tea and coffee with fantastic...

tucked away in Lapa. The boro of embassies. Just off a busy street you enter into an oasis of quiet . The fountain in the breakfast dining area. The soft colors of the sitting rooms and the beautiful library on the top floor over looking the Tagos river make this a truly special place. Rooms vary in size so check...

Room was spotlessly clean with Molten Brown toiletries and towelling robes and slippers. Carafe of port in the room was a nice touch. Breakfast was delicious with a wide choice. The whole hotel oozed charm a roof terrace with...

We chose this hotel based on the Trip Advisor reviews - and we weren't disappointed. This is a small, boutique hotel in a quiet location but with easy access to public transport, and walkable to the city centre in 25mins. The room was lovely, with Molten Brown toiletries and a carafe of port which was a nice touch. We only...

Dear Guest, Thank you very much for your review. We are very happy to know that you enjoyed your stay with us but found our beds to be quite hard. This is an ideal city hotel: charming, friendly, luxurious, elegant and tasteful. Situated 20 minutes walk from the centre, it is the peaceful former home of a novellist with some style. you can sit and read in the comfortable library with views out to sea, sunbathe in the pretty courtyard garden or relax in your room and watch TV, drinking...

As Janelas Verdes is a jewel: beautiful and small. It's staff make every effort to assist, including making dinner reservations and giving directions using public busses. The neighborhood is off the beaten tourist path, set on a hillside. At the base lies the sea and the port. Up the hill are a few family run restaurants, a tea house where...
