I booked a trip to Lisbon to celebrate my husbands birthday. We were booked to stay at My Story Hotel Ouro however upon arrival we were asked if we would be happy to stay at My Story Charming Hotel Augusta. We accepted this offer and a lady walked us across the road to the hotel reception. Our stay was at a very difficult time for the city where things were starting to close down due to the Covid19 pandemic. The hotel was always spotlessly clean, the staff were ensuring safety measures of hand sanitiser at the lobby and at breakfast, staff were wearing masks and gloves. This put our minds at ease that the hotel were taking this serious and following safety measures. Our room was of a comfortable size, the shutters blocked out sound and light which was great. Rituals toiletries were in the room which was a nice touch. There was a safe and a television. We were able to request an iron and ironing board to be brought up to the room when needed. The breakfast was lovely and fresh and replenished throughout the morning.
The hotel is in a fantastic position, near lots of shops and restaurants (some may say near the tourist traps)
The staff were great at giving recommendations on restaurants and transport options.
Lisbon is a beautiful city and we would love to return, we would definitely consider staying at the My Story chain again.

We stayed in the Augusta for 4 nights - having booked the sister hotel Oura, but we were transferred literally 10 yards away.

Staff: extremely welcoming, polite and eager to please. Check in straight forward . Ruben at breakfast was cheerful, charming and more than happy to refill our coffee cups countless times!

Room: At first sight tiny! But then we did read about that and were expecting that Once we got organised we realised that very clever use had been made of the space available and we were more than comfortable. The bed was a little hard ( personal preference, I know) I mentioned it at reception and we were offered a different room which we felt was not necessary and a mattress topper was provided! The triple glazing is brilliant. It meant we could have the window open and hear the buzz of the city and at times the live music, but close them and have perfect peace and quiet when needed.
There is efficient aircon which we used to cool the room right down at night, so no need to have the windows open.
I would say that the tiny bathroom needed a little getting use to. Once you are in and close the door it is not too bad! Shower was great and always plenty of hot water!

Breakfast: my favourite part of staying in a hotel! Again at first appearance it looked limited but that was due to small amounts being put out and constantly replenished when needed. A choice of teas, coffees, hot chocolate, juices, smoothie, water and sparkling wine! Lots of pastries, bread, rolls, ham, cheese and vegetables. Hot food included scrambled egg, bacon and mushrooms and roasted vegetables. There was also yogurt, jams and cereal and lots of prepared fresh fruit! Mostly grapes, melon, pineapple , orange and kiwi.
We loved breakfast . It was very relaxed and we spent ages sitting drinking coffee - thank you Ruben!- and planning our activities for the day

Location: Perfect ! Right in the heart of the main shopping street. 2 mins to the metro. 5 mins to the sea front and trams... all on the pedestrianised area. Shops and restaurants in the doorstep.

The hotel certainly provides excellent service all round for a 3 star hotel! And for the room rate we paid we felt it was amazing value!

We loved Lisbon and are hoping to go back and will definitely stay at the Augusta again.

Dear Issy_Bee Thank you so much for have chosen us to spend your getway and for share your comments of My Story Hotel Charming Augusta on TripAdvisor. In regards of the room size we are a 200 years old building converted in a hotel keeping the original architecture The building was originally from architecture Pombalina. It was built upon the earthquake of 1755 and everything we could keep from the original building was kept. The building was restored during 4 years and opened its doors in December 2018 Of course our prime location in Rua Augusta the most important street of Lisbon, even Portugal I would say just 150 meters from the river is no doubt a great bonus but you well mentioned our team once they an important cornerstone of our success. Our focus is our committed and genuine team giving great memories to our guests and show them a bit of what is Portugal. I already relayed your compliments to the entire team who is thrilled by such kind words in particular Ruben I hope next time you have the opportunity to go to Sintra and sunny Cascais that sometimes or visitors tend to skip. Thank you so much and hope to welcome you again in the near future. When it happens please let me know. My Story Charming Hotel Augusta is a little gem in the centre of Lisbon. My friend and I stayed for 8 nights and we couldn't have picked a better hotel or a better location.
The rooms are small, but cleverly designed to optimise the storage space. We had two rooms on the fifth floor, with a door that could shut off our rooms off from the corridor. The beds were extremely comfortable and the soundproofing was excellent. Considering we were in such a central location we were never disturbed by noise. Our bathrooms were large, with Rituals products and rainfall showers. We had lovely city views.
Breakfasts were excellent, with many options including delicious fresh fruit and yogurts, eggs, bacon, sautéed vegetables and even pancakes and mini pastel de nata.
All the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful and special mention goes to Steven who made us feel us so welcome.
The location was ideal, with lots of bars and restaurants on the doorstep and most of the main sights within walking distance.
We would definitely recommend this hotel and we will certainly stay here next time we visit Lisbon.

Sweet place to stay however staying in the winter here you can not use the airconditioning to yes cool down the room as you have to close the windows in order to reduce the sounds of the city. Not very pleasant to sleep in a room of 23 celsius at night.
Small rooms but adequate, good standard toiletries and decent cleaning standards.

Breakfast is extremely basic , cheap plastic jams, prefab pastries, nescafe coffee ( shame such a great coffee culture in Lisbon) .
Team members friendly.
Conclusion nice place to stay if you want to sejourn in a buzzing area, definitely room for improvement at very little extra costs.

Well, it started from the day before my check in. I messaged the hotel if I could use their luggage storage facility before the standard check in time (3 pm), I got a prompt response saying that they will not only ensure the luggage storage facility, but will try to get a room ready for me if they can.

I arrived in Lisbon on the 8th November. It was raining heavily by midday. I waited an hour at the Commerce Square for the rain to slow down and started making my way to the hotel to store my backpack after. The location of My Story Hotel Augusta is brilliant and it is very close to the Commerce Square (4 minutes). It is close to the metro station (2 minutes), Rossio Square (4 minutes) and a very convenient location to other must see attractions in Lisbon. I was soaked in the rain, but was greeted warmly at the reception by Silvia. She informed me that they have arranged my room for early check in, which was brilliant.

The room was brilliant. Everything was nice and clean,, perfect air conditioning, sound proofing in place, spacious bathroom. Happy days!

After drying myself and my belongings up for an hour I went down again if they could help me with book SIntra guided day tour and suggest other must see places. Silvia helped me book my Sintra guided tour trip and sort of arranged my itineraries for rest of the days. This really helped me a lot, as I was visiting Lisbon for first time, with least ideas on what to see.

The service and the facilities I experienced during My Story Hotel Augusta was brilliant. The staffs were helpful. In particular, Silvia was amazing with her caring, passionate and professional customer service skills. They served me as an alternative to the Tourist information centre, as the staffs were very knowledgeable informative and customer focused.,

Finally, brilliant customer service, great location, brilliant comfortable room with enough space. comfortable bed, great choice for breakfast : that’s how I sum up my stay there. Whenever I needed anything, I just asked at the reception and they did their best.
I received a 5 star service from My Story Hotel Augusta. Thank you, My Story Hotel Augusta and thank you Silvia, for presenting with an amazing experience at your hotel during my birthday trip to Lisbon..

I stayed here for a city break. It’s the perfect location to explore Lisbon. Right on the Rua Augusta just a couple of minutes from the Praca do Comercial, the big square on the riverfront. It’s at the bottom of all the hills in a fairly flat area, so perfect to come home to! 3 minutes from the metro. Lots of restaurants nearby and the ‘best’ pastel de nata from the Manteigaria shop. We took two walking tours, Central Lisbon and Alfama which both started and finished an easy walk away.

The hotel itself had a good breakfast with scrambled egg, bean, mushrooms and bacon as well as yogurt, cold meats and cheese, cereal and pastries. The room was pretty compact and faced on to the Rua Augusta, but the windows were extremely well soundproofed. You could have them open to listen to the city sounds, but once closed it was virtually silent.

Spent the Thanksgiving Holiday in Lisbon and had the best stay at the My Story Augusta. It is in a great location, close to all the sights and many restaurants. I opted for the option with free breakfast and it was the best decision! It was great to pop down for breakfast and then head back to my room to get ready to start the day. Breakfast was simple (meats, cheeses, pastries, eggs, bacon, etc.) but delicious. I highly recommend this option.

The room was quaint and small but with the high ceilings it felt much bigger than it was. I did not have a room on the street so I can't speak to noise levels in that regard but I found the room to be quiet at night. The only downside would be you could hear the people walking around in the room above. I would still stay here again despite that.

I also recommend choosing the transportation option if you are coming/going back to the airport. It was one less thing to worry about and it was the best decision!

Everyone I encountered on the staff was so friendly and nice! I have nothing bad to say about this hotel. I highly recommend booking for your stay in Lisbon.

A lovely city centre hotel, close to all amenities.
Only down side was our room was very compact and we had to put our cases under the bed.
We didn’t spend much time in the room as busy sightseeing.
The shower room was also very compact and was really of a wet room
We had a street view on level 3. Air conditioning was great and windows were quite soundproof.
Breakfast became very busy after 8am. Tip is to arrive early.
As there is only 1 coffee machine.
A compact buffet with good breads, pastries etc.
Plenty of choice.
The hotel presented me with a bottle of fizz and some cake for my birthday.
There was no space to drink this in our room so we sat outside the hotel in the cafe passage.
We did not initially discover the stairwell, helpful to know as there is only a small lift.
Staff were all very friendly and helpful
Ask in advance for a room with a view of Rue Augusta, if you like that.

We came on short weekend break with friend and on our last night we were looking for nice more upmarket place to just sit and relax with some beer and tapas. Staff were exceptionally friendly and great service. Prices were very low and we were pleasantly surprised. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone who is looking for nice chilled evening and nice experience.

This hotel is freshly updated, spotlessly clean, and in a great location. Even though it was in the heart of the tourist area, the soundproof windows kept it super quiet. The staff was kind, and stored our luggage all day. The buffet breakfast was efficient and appealing. The only downside to our room was that it was very small and so not a great place to relax in between adventures. Luckily our weather was great so we would go down and sit in the nearby plaza and look at the water. I would definitely recommend this hotel.
