This is a low rise modern hotel, with minimalistic design. My room was facing the west, it had a panoramic window with amazing view to the small marina. All rooms have unobstracted views which I find very special. One wall in the room has a special decoration, different coulour in each room. The breakjfast was really great experience, also thanks...

My husband needed a place to stay for 21 nights while take classes in Lisbon. So I choose this hotel mainly because of two things: it was close to his university and its rooms have balconies which would allow him to smoke without going outside. It turns out Altis was a great surprise. It's locations is not only close to...

Very chic modern beautiful hotel with lovely rooms. We really enjoyed staying here and thought it was lovely. Unfortunately the Michelin star restaurant was closed so we didn't get to sample it, but that's just one of those things. The only reason I didn't give it 5 was the crazy price of some of the incidentals; €3.50 for a Nespresso...

Nice, cosy, well designed hotel with great location! This hotel is located in the heart of Belem, historic part of Lisbon and one of the main parts of this city to visit and discover. Plus, the property has beautiful view of the river Tagus. All the main attractions are practically on door step, the Red Bridge, the Tower of Belem,...

Very good location with views over the river, close to the main tourist attractions. The rooms are ok but have a little cold feeling and I didn't find the pillows comfortable, the breakfast could have more variety. The SPA is amazing and the staff very nixe.

It was our first visit to Lisbon and we chose this hotel based on reviews. We were not disappointed at all. It has a unique design, very spacious rooms, nice restaurant and a luxurious spa. We had a beautiful view of the river Tagus, the 26th April Bridge, the statue of the jesus christ and to top it all a...

Thank you very much for your comment on our Altis Belem Hotel & Spa. We are right on the city centre regarding the most visited monuments in Lisbon, and that reflect the Portuguese history as a People. Nevertheless just 10 minutes will separate the hotel from the city centre, where you can find so many other things to do and...

The hotel is in Belem in a little harbour. So if it is a central location you are after - it is not for you. But - it is near the best pastry shops in Portugal in a beautiful harbour with a Michelin starred restaurant (fantastic, especially the appetizers are incredible) and its cool and modern. If you want to...

Great hotel! Look amazing! I was there in two different rooms..the both are excellent! I was just angry because of spa and wellness...I wanted to go for massage and some treatments and they were so lazy and didn't want to answer to the phone..and when i asked them face to face they said there is no place for anything

Staying in Belem

Neighbourhood Profile
Belem
Belém is the "capital of the Portuguese Discoveries" and a photographer's paradise. You can spend an entire day exploring this neighborhood: monuments (Jerónimos Monastery, Belém Tower, Monument to the Discoveries), museums (Coach Museum, Centro Cultural de Belém) and breathtaking views of the Tagus river will make your visit worth your time. Belém also offers a variety of restaurants and cafes, namely the famous - and delicious - "Pastéis de Belém" (typical Portuguese custard tarts; make sure you buy an extra box of those!). Easily accessible from Lisbon's historic center, Belém is a must-do, especially if you're spending more than one day visiting the Portuguese capital.
