We stayed for 4 nights and this hotel was in a really good location, close to all the central parts of the city. The rooms are small but you don't go away to sit in your room. The funicular that runs past the hotel doesn't run all night so didn't disturb us at all. Breakfast was good and would definitely...

Nice hotel, central enough, in a really nice area. Staff are friendly and the rooms are quite nice although a bit small. The buffet breakfast is quite limited and there is no hot food. We had an issue with being put in a double room instead of a twin room, and our shower leaking onto the floor and even though...

The hotel has a perfect location in the city center, amazing view from the room (3rd to 5th floor), very clean and spacious room. Although the hotel is in the city center it's quite and you can easily sleep with the windows open. Over the corner is one of those amazing small streets with the tram climbing up (Elevator da...

From the lovely welcome to the clean more than adequate rooms including a hairdryer, safe and fridge we loved our weeks stay here. Situated off restauradores square, this is the perfect place for a sightseeing base with Rossio station minutes away, trams, funicular's and Tuk Tuks it's easy to get around. The staff at the hotel were helpful and friendly and organised our taxi...

The Turim Restauradores is one street behing the main Avenida da Liberdade, very well located as you can walk into Chiado/Bairro Alto or even go shopping at the biggest Lisbon Avenue. great value for money for sure but you need to bear in mind that some rooms ( like mine) did have 1 window but not on reachable level :(...

Just come back from a short stay in Lisbon and was really pleased with the hotel. It is so central - just a few minutes away from a square with a Tourist Office and bus stops and ten minutes away from Praca do Comercio. My room was spotless with a comfy bed and modern bathroom. No kettle facilities but I...

The location is not bad. The tram is directly beside the hotel and you can hear it which isn't great when trying to get an early night. The nearest parking is in a square about 5 mins walk away and is free 1900hrs to 0900hrs, you have to pay during the day. No free parking at the hotel itself. The...

Great service, location and value. Comfortable rooms and good breakfast. The little bar serves great cocktails from enthusiastic barmaids. The pizzas are good too. The wifi quality was good in my room.

Located at the foot of the Gloria tram to the Barrio Alto, just a 7 minute climb and you are there. Internet access was not available on the first floor, you had to go to the lobby. Beds were too soft to be comfortable, my back was sore each morning. There is no convenient parking provided by the hotel, we...

Staying in Chiado & Carmo

Neighbourhood Profile
Chiado & Carmo
The traditionally trendy "Chiado" (literally, "squeak", the nickname of a 16th century poet) offers plenty of cafes, restaurants and bars where you can stop for a cafe or cocktail, after exploring its streets, shops, art galleries, theaters, museums and viewpoints. It's also the home to the statue of the famous statue of portuguese poet Fernando Pessoa, having is usual espresso at "A Brasileira" as he used to. You can also enjoy breathtaking views of Lisbon from the Elevador de Santa Justa or the Carmo Convent, for example. A commercial neighborhood at its core, especially for its Garrett and Carmo streets, Chiado is to this day a mandatory visit in Lisbon.
