Booked a mother/daughter week away and just happened to book this gem of a hotel in the perfect location for sight seeing. It is located on the riverfront (almost) within easy walking distance of all the sights in Lisbon centre. Rooms are first class with all the amentities you could require. The interior decor is modern, comfortable and spotlessly clean with a lovely spa and indoor pool, sauna and steam room. There is an a la carte restaurant, the lounge bar also serves lighter snacks and the breakfast has to be seen to be believed - AMAZING ! Drinks and meals are very reasonably priced - so much so that, after a day sightseeing, we ate in the bar on a couple of occasions instead of going local. On arrival, the smiling and polite porter actually came out of the hotel to meet our taxi, relieved us of our luggage and escorted us to reception. All the staff, from reception to bar/restaurant/housekeeping are extremely polite, helpful and a useful source of information for the sightseer. Nothing is too much trouble. The hotel manager ought to be proud of both his hotel and his staff and I would have no hesitation in recommending, or indeed returning, to this wonderful hotel.

We stayed in the hotel last weekend for 3 nights.
The location is to explore Lisbon perfect. The River location is great.
Just a few minutes walk from the center of the city, and the most beautiful parts of Alfama. The reception staff, boys and girls we're very welcoming, helpful and friendly.
We've got a room on the third floor with breathtaking riverview.
With the windows open, it can be noisy from traffic and the cruisboats opposite,
but when you close the windows, it was complete silent, so very good soundproofing rooms. Very comfy beds and pillows, and a spotless clean fine bathroom.
The towels and linen are first quality. Perfect daily cleaning.
The breakfast was fantastic. All you wish for a Royal breakfast is there. Very fresh and tasty and big choice. The coffee is best quality.
Nice little indoor pool and wellness.
The decoration of the lobby and restaurant are design tasteful and classy.
The museum part is surprising beautiful.
We came to celebrate my birthday, and in the evening they put a nice cake and a bottle of Bubbles in our room. We really appreciate this.
The only minus is that the common spaces , like lobby and bar and restaurant lacks some atmosphere, and the background music everywhere in common places and in the corridors, is very irritating. Nonstop cheap R+B
A 5 star design Museumhotel should really keep more attention on that.
A classy hotel deserves more classy music.
But beside of that, we loved our stay very much, and we say Muito Obrigado to all
the staff, and for sure we will come back. Adeus,

Ignatius and Stefan from Antwerpen Belgium

My husband, daughter, and I stayed for 4 nights at this hotel, and we have only good things to say. The king size bed was comfortable; the breakfast delicious and plentiful, and the service was excellent. It is located in the Alfama district and we were able to walk to some shops and restaurants in the evening. The staff goes out of their way to make you feel welcomed. I highly recommend Eurostars Museum hotel. You’ll also love the great little museum representative of the Roman era. Great all around hotel.

A five stars hotel which is built on a ruined home of ancient dates of Roman occupation. Some part of the old building has been preserved by the architect designers whic can be seen in restaurant, lobby ......
It's clean with helpful and friendly staff which is located a few minutes walk away from the famous squares like commerce square and so on and also shopping streets full of restaurants.

We booked and paid deposits for several groups in 2020 and, due to Covid-19 and the closure of Portugal's borders to tourists from the U.S, were unable to bring our groups. Not only have they refused to refund our deposits but they do not even answer our emails. We are having the same experience with Eurostar hotels in other countries where we had booked groups. Eurostars are the only hotels in Europe who have refused us refunds.

Lovely hotel! We stayed for the weekend. Had a great stay, our room was on a corner so had 2 big windows/doors. Very clean, bathroom was spotless. Had complimentary shampoo/conditioner, body wash, toothbrush, shaving foam etc. Bed was really comfy, and we had 2 TVs (didn’t watch them much though) coffee machine in room was a nice touch too.
Hotel is in a great location close to town centre and the old town. Reception really good at showing you where is good to visit, they mark out on a map etc, and they also explained the trams and train tickets.
The little museum inside the hotel was a bonus too, we done the tour and it was good, it’s a very small museum bit, but interesting. The spa was great too, we went once evening before dinner.
Didn’t eat lunch/dinner at the hotel but had the breakfast, it was plentiful, I don’t get why some people’s reviews are moaning. Yes you have to make your own coffee at breakfast (wouldn’t say it’s hard to go press a button…) it’s a self serve buffet with the exception of fresh made omelettes if you wanted.
The reception area and cocktail bar and toilets etc are all very clean! Would highly recommend.

The staff were very friendly - they rang shortly after check in to make sure that we were satisfied with the room. The room was spacious, well furnished, and well appointed, with extras like a clothes steamer and diffuser for the hair dryer. The pool/spa area was clean and functional. I hope to return some day!

for the price I was expecting 5 stars. A few things I see as less than this ;

the spa was beautiful however, for the duration of our stay the spa wasn't up to full use - the tap didnt work, the sauna and steam room were both out of order .. turning a spa into just a pool.
And some of the tiles in the spa were all lifting up on the floor.

the mini bar was all an extra cost - which isn't unusua, l but considering the other hotel in lisbon that we stayed in first, was 4 stars and they INCLUDED items in the mini bar this was a downgrade from that.

The air con in our room was AWFUL , again the first hotels aircon was amazing then we came here and we barely slept the whole time because the room felt warm, we told reception and they came to check it and told us it was fine, but it clearly wasnt. One of the vents wasnt even working.

No coffee machine in the room which I expect for a hotel of this level.

and for all of the above we werent even offered anything for the inconvience.

the positves were the breakfast was amazing worth every penny, so much choice,
the bartender was very good, and the hotel was beautiful and a fairly good location.

however would stay in the other hotel if we returned- better value and quality.

My husband and I had to make a quick change to our original booked hotel in Lisbon which was a disappointing room. The Aurea got us a room immediately. Even though our first room wasn't exactly what we were hoping for, the next day the staff made sure to get us in a suite that was bright, airy and overlooked the water. It was large and comfortable. The restuarant was closed for dinner but the breakfast was excellent and included. What made our stay so wonderful was purely the staff that helped us. I had a spill on one of the roads and they brought me ice and were very helpful with reservations, etc. These are the staff that made our stay really nice. David, Leo, Catarina, Giulerme, Janet, Adriano, Janet & Soraia. Thank you to these outstanding staff, some even in training. My only complaint was we had a hard time getting extra coffee pods. The night staff told us we were charged for them when that was not in fact the truth, but at check out they told us that was not the case. The hotel sits close to where the cruise ships come in but we had an outstanding view of the sea. It is located right below the Alfama district which is the oldest neighborhood and has Fado music in the evenings and some cool shops and gorgeous views.

Stayed 2 nights in this hotel, on walking distance from the old town, view over the water. Close to the Cruise terminal. The staff were friendly and the room was very good. Cute restaurants around the hotel. I almost overslept as the blinding curtains were really doing it’s job and the bed was very comfortable. I will definitely come back here when I am in Lisbon again.

Yes it's a 5 minute walk. We could see the cruise ships dock every day from our balcony. They provide transportation where ever you need to go.
