The Corpo Santo Hotel in Lisbon is nothing short of INCREDIBLE! I have stayed at 5 star hotels from New York to Paris to Cairo and this little boutique hotel beats them all. The hallways are subtly scented with snacks/wine in the lobby and at each elevator (no charge). The offerings in the minibar and the breakfast was no charge including if you had the breakfast brought to your room. I ordered an omelet for 8a and at 7:58a a steaming, fresh omelet arrived at my door. The staff was EXTREMELY knowledgeable and friendly and offered a free 2-hour tour of the Christmas lights in the City. The location of the hotel is perfect and the soundproof windows leave each room serene. The restaurant was unbelievably accommodating to my friend who is a vegan and gluten free. The meals were delightful and not overpriced. This was one of my most affordable trips and everything about the hotel screamed VALUE. It is not possible for me to think of any way which this hotel can be improved. Service, rooms, food, location – all superb! Thank you to the staff for a wonderful vacation!

No wonder this hotel has such excellent reviews. We found the welcome the best we have ever had. Whilst waiting to check in behind another guest at reception, other staff offered us a free glass of wine (we chose red and they opened a bottle specially) and some lovely canapes. One evening when we had eaten out and no suitable desserts were available, upon returning to the hotel I ate a couple of slices of the lovely cake available free in reception (it tasted like Madelene's). As others have mentioned, they have free wine tasting every evening. There is a guest services desk where free walking tours can be booked and helpful advice can be obtained e.g. we asked how to get to the castle (Castelo do Sao Jorge) by tram.
We booked the superior room which was spacious and well equipped. The bathroom was very large with two sinks. The toilet was in a sort of separate room with a glass door and the bath had the biggest drench shower plus hand held shower I have ever seen, with very good water pressure. The minor problems in the bathroom that I pointed out were fixed almost immediately (a seal was needed at the bottom of the shower screen and one of the sinks had a leaky plug until they fixed it). The hairdryer was a good quality one. There were chocolate dipped strawberries and sparkling wine on ice in our room when we arrived and these were also offered on subsequent days. All of that plus the mini bar were free.
The air conditioning worked well and the double glazing made the noisy street behind our room completely silent - incredibly effective. We were offered a free 20-minute massage but did not take them up on that and did not end up trying out the jacuzzi although it looked nice. Our room was decorated and furnished in calm colours - no horrible wallpaper with bird or tigers over it like some hotels. ALL of the staff were friendly and as welcoming and helpful as possible. The only minor negative point, which I admit I did not point out to them, was that our mini bar fridge did not get very cold. All in all, I would definitely highly recommend this hotel.

I loved everything about this hotel! First and foremost the staff - they work incredibly hard to provide first class friendly service. They go out of their way to make your stay special and cannot do enough for you. By far the best service I have ever experienced in a hotel.
When we arrived we were given a free upgrade and breakfast package, which was a pleasant surprise.
The location is perfect, close to the waterfront and to one of the main squares which leads you towards the city centre where restaurants and shops are plenty. There is a tour bus that stops just opposite the hotel. We also did the walking tour that the hotel organises for free, which was well worth doing. We were taken to see the Christmas lights and Christmas market and really enjoyed the company of the tour guide.
The hotel is immaculate, with lots of nice customer experience touches such as the complimentary sweets and ice cream machine in reception, the bowls of fruit and nuts around the hotel, the coffee machine and soft drinks in the lounge and the tasting hour each evening. On the lower floors you can see parts of the original wall that stood there centuries ago which they have curated into an exhibition along with other artefacts.
Breakfast was plentiful and we also ate lunch and dinner here during our stay, which were both delicious and good value for money.
I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough.

Not sure where to start since the service and amenities are never ending. This hotel is rated #1 for good reason.

We were met outside by concierge who helped us exit the taxi and brought our luggage in. We arrived before check in so they kept our luggage while we walked and had lunch.

The concierge also helped us by recommending fab restaurants and booked our dinner reservations. Also assisted with uber ride.

Location is perfect, close to the river, Praça do Comércio, pink street, time out market, church of Saint Anthony, São Jorge Castle…we walked for hours soaking it all in!

You will never experience hunger or thirst-recommend you hide the bathroom scale upon arrival 🤣. 24/7 food options, including pastries, candies, ice cream, and an assortment of fruit, nuts, water, coffee, etc. Each morning we enjoyed an abundant and flavorful breakfast provided by first class service. We finished a couple evenings at the bar with a glass of the best red wine and complementary snacks.

THE MASSAGE! Each guest is offered a complementary 20 minute massage. My husband and I opted for the 60 minutes at additional charge of €80 each. I would’ve paid 160. Our masseuse masters were named Anabella, Jessica, Lena and Khai… yes, you read that accurately, 2 masseuse each-need I say more? Ok, I will. Opted for deep tissue with strong intensity and boy did they deliver. Could probably write a one pager on that experience, but to summarize, best in over 35 years of receiving massages.

Hotel offers complimentary, 2 hour walking tours, twice daily. Miguel was our guide. He gave the obligatory ‘I’m not an official tour guide’ disclaimer but I can assure you that his intellect, pride & knowledge of Lisbon and it’s history along with pride in his hotel shown thru. Our experience was more than enjoyable. Suggest you take this tour any day but Sunday so that you can visit inside the cathedral.

The rooms were pristine and had the MOST comfortable mattresses. There is a mini fridge with complimentary beverages, a shower with mood lights that played relaxing music, bidet, flat iron, blow dryer and all your toiletries.

We have 1.5 weeks on this trip and my only concern now is that this hotel has set a precedent that none others can follow!

Thanks for such an enjoyable and memorable time in Lisbon!

Trina and Mike

This was one of the best hotels we have stayed at in our many travels!
We stayed for 4 nights on a quick trip from the USA.
From the minute we arrived (we booked that morning from the airport as we were on a standby flight) they were helpful, friendly, and hospitable and continued throughout our stay.
We rested until our room was ready in their historic lounge which was quiet, comfortable and offered complimentary beverages and snacks.
We were grateful to take a nap and recuperate until our room was available.
The staff across all the departments were welcoming, polite, and outgoing and nothing was too much trouble.
They shared helpful tips about where to visit, eat, and best ways to get around.
The Maitre "D" or concierge on duty would come to each table at breakfast and ask guests about their plans and offer helpful tips which was really nice.

Our room was incredibly spacious, had excellent soundproofing from outside street noise, luxurious linens and every need catered for. Kettle and tea/coffee in addition to a complimentary mini bar (filled every day), and a Nespresso machine.
Turn down service every night too.
The bathroom had a decent hairdryer and flat iron which was a nice surprise. The shower had a surprising feature of lights and music which we didn't really use but the Molton Brown toiletries were also very welcome.

Each floor has a geographical theme with complimentary snacks - a very nice touch.
The spa was welcome as was happy hour every evening in reception. We met some great people and when it appeared we were staying through the happy hour, our drinks were refreshed.
Still and sparkling water, coffee, tea and pastries were always available in reception as were featured snacks each night, and jars of sweets :)
The breakfast was excellent with a variety of fresh pressed juices, and a la carte options.
A brunch was included in the rate and could be taken any day from 12-6pm. It was welcome on our one rainy day and the choice and quality was again, exceptional.

We went on a walking historic tour which they offer to guests and that was insightful, and a great addition to our stay. I definitely recommend - there are two each day and well worth the time.
This is an exceptional hotel, in a great location about 15 minute walk from the nearest train station.

Small property high on service and personal touch. This boutique property has everything a person could ask for, comfortable beds in nice sized room close to the best sightseeing in old Lisbon. Spa, nice restaurant, concierge and then they add the personal touches, free walking tours with wonderful local hosts like Ana Garcia who take you through 2 hours in Alfama in the morning and Chiado in the evenings. She was a wonderful concierge and host during these tours, making them both fun and informative. Upon arrival back at Corpo Santo in the evening, we enjoyed a free happy hour of Port and pastries. Beyond that, free midnight meals were offered. Anything we needed or were curious about, they helped us find immediately.

Then there are small touches like snacks of dates and nuts next to the elevator and the mild pleasant scents that emanate from the ventilation. The beds are comfortable and firm, the showers have rain shower and body shower options and a light and sound system when bathing. Meanwhile the hotel itself sits on the site of ancient buildings for which you get a historical explanation of during your tour. I could go on and on, lovely property you will love if you have the chance to stay.

I decided that if I was going to Lisbon, I would visit, but it was a wonderful hotel that I never betrayed. I can still recall episodes of some of the staff in this picture. I can't count how many times they let me in through the restaurant side door if I was having trouble with heavy rain, how they asked me about fado restaurants and wrote down my options, how I went out and told me how to live when I consulted with the restaurant I was shopping, and how they always greeted me with a smile when I cleaned the room. Hotel facilities and services are exactly what many people say. This is the only place to come back again.

Wow 5+ stars. From the emails before we arrived to check out, this hotel and its staff are perfect. We received a welcome email and a follow up email instructing us on where to park our car for help with our luggage and who would park our car. Check in was not only smooth but thoroughly helpful with information about our stay. We were walked to our room by the bell captain whose name I cannot remember. He made sure all our keys worked and that we were well informed about all of our room amenties. We stayed only 2 nights but found that the morning and afternoon free tours by the hotel concierge were everything we wanted to see during our stay. In the morning, Ana and Paolo guided us through the historic district with entertaining facts and stories all the way up to St. George’s Castle. In the afternoon, Sergio walked us through the downtown area giving us historical information and tips about the area. He also made dinner reservations for us during the wine tasting in the hotel lobby. Both tours were exceptional and tailored for our group. We had dinner at the hotel restaurant on our first night and were very happy with our choices. We also had breakfast at the hotel. It was lovely, not the typical buffet. Our matre’d Christopher was like an old friend along with every member of the waitstaff. The hotel’s Living Room is a treasure being that the walls are the actual walls of the fortress surrounding ancient Portugal. Did I mention that the snacks throughout the hotel are free of charge. They are not only in the lobby, Living Room and guest rooms but also by the elevators on every floor. The lobby also has a free soft serve ice cream machine. The perfect treat after exploring Lisbon in the sun. The room itself was nicely appointed and comfortable. The bathroom was large and the bathtub/shower had great water pressure. Every area of Corpo Santo is very clean. Need I say more. If we are ever in Lisbon again, we know where we will stay. Best staff in Europe.

Our flight was canceled so we asked the travel people at the airport for a recommendation for one night and they said Corpo Santo. This miserable situation turned out to be wonderful! All of the hotel staff were extremely nice and comforting! They had free snacks in the lobby and on each floor. Our hotel room cost also included a delicious cooked to order breakfast with lots of fresh fruit. In the evening the hotel had a free walking tour of Lisbon with a guide, which we joined. Since it was close to Christmas, the walking streets were all beautifully decorated with Christmas lights and there was also a Christmas Market area. It was truly a memorable night!

HIGHLY recommend Corpo Santo Hotel if you are looking for a boutique, welcoming, well-appointed, charming hotel with attentive, friendly, and exquisitely customer-oriented staff. The reception and concierge teams were abundantly helpful in offering advice on restaurants, shopping, and local activities.

The rooms are serene with sound-proof windows that mitigate city noise and the luxury bath products and super plush towels are a delight!

The hotel offers free walking tours of the city and plentiful (no charge!) snacks in the lobby, on each floor, and during a happy hour. An additional thoughtful touch is the Nespresso coffee machines in each room and daily re-stocked mini-bar with a variety of complimentary sodas and water!

I have several dietary restrictions and the hotel restaurant accommodated me with beautifully presented and delicious offerings each night. Five-star service and ambiance!

All of these positive remarks left me with a yearning to return to Lisbon and I will absolutely be staying with our friends at Corpo Santo Hotel again!
