The space The name «República - Bed & Breakfast & Arts» relates to the background’s lusitanian origin as well as its connection to the arts. Each room represents a burgh gifted with pieces of art which associated with it. Guest access Apart from the rooms’ sheltered compasses, we offer access to a wide and cozy kitchen as well as a living room with a TV and a dining room where breakfast is served. In a matter of necessity, we grant a fridge and microwave at hand. Interaction with guests Our insight on Lisbon on a day to day basis is fuelled by a special zest for the social, gastronomical and cultural nuances. We are more than happy to share it with you having arranged some partnerships that may help provide some unique experiences! The neighborhood The neighbourhood, located in Avenidas Novas, central Lisbon is comprised of long avenues garnished with lovely châteaux scattered throughout mixed with some more modern buildings. It’s the city’s business center counting on a diverse and sophisticated means of commerce. Also, right under our nose, we see the famous Campo Pequeno’s bullring built brick by brick in the 19th century being one of Lisbon’s main show halls and concert venue. Getting around - 5km from the Airport (10 minute drive or 11 by tube) - Tube/metro station: Campo Pequeno - 8 Bus lines: 207, 727, 736, 738, 744, 749, 754 e 783 - Right next to the train station which reaches Sintra - Large paid parking area near the Bullring - Taxi rank at the door Other things to note Scattered throughout the rooms’ walls - relating to a specific neighbourhood of Lisbon - are exposed some art pieces from promising artists associated to the respective neighbourhood.

Republica b&b is a beautiful apartment with private bedrooms for guests. The rooms are clean and equipped with mini toiletries, towels and lovely soft bedding. Breakfast was pastries, juice, bread, ham and cheese and hot drinks which was a perfect way to start the day. Getting into town is easy and cheap using the metro and you can buy tickets which last 24 hours.

Stayed here for a couple of nights for a short break in Lisbon. Really nice stay, Large room. Its located by the bullring, right next to a Metro station
We got a metro half way to the centre both mornings and walked the rest. Ideal way to start the day and plenty of places to stop for a coffee. Manuel the owner was very helpful with suggestions of places to visit. Continental breakfast was basic but very nice and set us up well for the day we had a room with a shower which was very clean and toiletries supplied. Wardrobe was massive the contents of our small rucksacks took up about a fifth if that. There's a nice lounge next to a kitchen where breakfast is served, bit cold to sit on the balcony when we went but would be nice in summer. Would definitely stay here again, highly recommended

We stayed in suite in order to have a private bathroom, the non-suite rooms have a shared bathroom at a lower price. The suite was a great value. Great continental breakfast included, great hosts, great location, comfortable bed. We didn't have a car and it is not needed with metro stop across the street. Highly recommended!

Nice place, friendly staff, close to center. The host gave us tips on what to do, how to get to the places we wanted to visit and made our visit more pleasant.
Cleaning is made on request, also change of towels but everything we needed we could ask at any time.

This place was perfect for me and my first trip to Lisbon. Before I arrived, Manuel had provided me with all the details. I had no problems finding the location or getting in. It was a fairly short bus ride from the airport. There's a metro station a few minutes away, too. Manuel helped me get checked in, gave a tour, and shared some personal recommendations for things to do and places to eat. The common spaces were spacious, inviting, and very clean. The double room had plenty of space for large suitcases, clothing and shoes, and a nice desk with chair, and... a private balcony that overlooked a charming sidewalk. The bed and bedding was very comfortable. The room, even with a balcony, was quiet in the late evening and overnight. Unlike other places I've stayed, the room had indoor and outdoor blinds to keep out sunlight in the morning. All of the extras made for a restful experience. I also really appreciated the attentive staff hosting breakfast and checking in on me throughout my stay. One thing I wasn't sure about was the shared but exclusive bathroom situation. However, this was not an issue. The bathrooms were much larger than other hotels I've stayed at in Europe, with a large shower and sink and space to get ready. Overall, I was extremely impressed by Republica.

My daughter and I travelled for the third time to Lisbon and decided (based on location and reviews) to book our stay here.
We were pleasantly surprised to see that the rave reviews actually fell short of our expectations!
The location is so good, you have various buses and a metro station (Campo Pequeno) right there, a mall in front with a food court, several supermarkets next door.
Now, about the bed and breakfast itself, we had a lovely spacious bedroom and a lovely modern bathroom and small cute balcony, the bed was very comfortable and loads of wardrobe space.
The breakfast was great, there is a fridge for the guests to use if they want and everything a kitchen has to offer (the kitchen is huge, modern and everything is very clean). There’s also a loving room with a tv and books; it’s like home away from home.
However, the best thing of all was the staff. Ana and Ruth we were so lovely and helpful. We only met Manuel on the last day, but he was also very nice and helpful during the booking with emails etc.
Both Ana and Ruth provided us with loads of information about Lisbon and the things that we could do. They also went above and beyond to help us with anything that we needed.
We were so comfortable and happy every time we got back to the bed and breakfast, and we most certainly will return again on our next visit to Lisbon.

I was traveling to Lisbon with 7month old baby and was a bit nervous about accommodation but I should admit that everything was exceptionally clean, room was nice, with balcony, Manuel and Ana were very hospitable. Explained us everything. Especially where to hop on in famous yellow tram to get some free seats.
Transport is easily accessible from the accommodation, breakfast was very nice always with fresh bread and croissants. There is elevator so if you have baby buggy it’s no problem to take it all the way up to the 4th floor. They also have high chair, some board games, nice living room where guests can gather.
Overall I highly recommend the place.

We really liked our stay in Republica hotel - it is situated on a very communicative place, easy to find and close to different public transport stations. The hotel is very clean, quite and the hosts were extremely polite, taking care of everything, giving us valuable advises for places worth visiting. We would like to give our highest recommendation, without reservations.

It was our first time in Europe and staying here not only provided a great location, easy access to public transportation, and the perfect easy quick breakfast to start the day, it is staffed by the most caring humans. We stayed 5 nights in Lisbon and by the 2nd day we had a good handle on what we wanted to do and how we could do it with the help of Manuel and Ana. The space is easy to share even with strangers and getting to meet new people was part of the fun of being in Portugal. I would not hesitate to send anyone here for their next vacation. For two retried teachers, it was an A+ experience all around.

Olá Tiaolima, ficamos a 5 quilómetros.
Temos as duas coisas.
Cumprimentos,
Manuel
Hola Eliana,
