This beautiful boutique hostel was one of my favourites in Europe. Located in the quaint neighborhood of Alfama, it's situated within easy walking distance to all the main attractions of Lisbon. The rooms were spacious, clean and (relatively) warm for the dead of winter, it offered a delicious and varied breakfast, friendly helpful staff, clean and well tended for amenities,...

The environment was so lovely great people and Staff, I could sit on the hammocks all day and be the happiest. It was very relaxing, but at the same time there was so much to do and...

My sister and I stayed at Alfama Patio Hostel during our trip to Lisbon, and we absolutely loved it!! Friendly environment, great breakfast (although, as a swede, I would have prefered stronger coffee...), nice people and great service. The hostel is in the coziest part of Lisbon, close to the castle and right by Tram 28. A bit off from...

Loved this hostel and specifically the green garden and the roof terrace with a great view. Also located in one of the most bustling areas; Alfama. Have seen a lot of Lissabon but wouldn't have stayed anywhere else, for sure. Guys and Girls working in this hostel felt like friends within seconds and made this relaxed place the very best,...

The staff were very welcoming and friendly, getting our room was a very easy going process and the room it's self was lovely, clean and with nice light and a balcony. The shared living space was the best bit as there was a terrace and another section with a communal table and lots of flowers (jasmine I believe) you can...

Staying in Graca & Sao Vicente

Neighbourhood Profile
Graca & Sao Vicente
You can be thankful that most common travel guides don't mention Graça and São Vicente that often. Part of Lisbon's historic center and "Old Town", they feel like independent villages in the capital's center, and more untouched than Alfama. Amazing views, restaurants and parks, as well as important monuments like the S. Vicente Church and the National Pantheon, make this a spectacular option for those looking for a more tranquil walk-around in the center of Lisbon. Graça has been the choice of many younger people over the past years, both nationals and expats, given the cozy feeling of the neighborhood and its hidden secrets.
