Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

In all my years of traveling, I have never been treated as poorly than by a waiter employed by this hotel. My friends and I were part of a religious pilgrimage and the trip included dinner at this hotel. During dinner on Nov. 7, 2023, there were no seats left in the innermost section of the restaurant where for whatever reason, this particular waiter wanted all patrons to sit. However, there were numerous tables and seats less than 10 feet away from this particular section. Since we cannot eat standing up, we asked to be seated in the available tables 10. This waiter was unbelievably rude and yelled “No, go with your tour group!” We explained to him there were no seats left. He glared at us and could not be reasoned with. Make a long story short, we had to WAIT until people were done eating or were asked to eat fast and get up, so we can sit down. We were also told in a very loud disrespectul voice, to just “separate and find a seat with other people”, meaning people we were not traveling with. At the end of the dinner, we quietly approached him and said to him we deserved better treatment than that. We spoke in a very low key voice. I guess, we were hoping he would apologize. We thought maybe he was just having a bad day and that ad the crowd thinned out, he would realize he was out of line and apologize. To our horror, he was as rude as ever and instead of apologizing, he raised his voice again and said “I am superman! You Americans are rude!!!!!” He then rolled his eyes, waived his arms even more, and yelled (literally yelled) more. This is the most shocking encounter we have had in all our years of travelling around the world with a waiter. And of all places, in Fatima. We want to believe this man has problems at home which made him behave so horribly, but management should then sit him down and educate him on the proper way to conduct himself in a place as precious and sacred as Fatima.

The hotel is very close to The Basilica of our Lady of the rosary. I could hear the mass and songs at night from my room. The hotel staff is friendly and knowledgeable. There is a garage to park your car and a nice gift shop in the hotel. The breakfast buffet had lots of choices, bacon and eggs, cereal, sausages, fruit, cold cuts and much more. There are many stores and restaurants around the hotel and the location is fantastic.

The hotel is about 250 meters / 700' from the sanctuary of the Virgin Mary and approximately 500 meters/1800' from the village itself. The sanctuary of "My Lady" is one of the holiest sites in Christendom, and is really enormous, I would estimate a length of 100 meters/ 300 feet and about 120 meters / 350' wide. There are sermons/prayers throughout the day, and an area for those who wish to light candles and pray. There are tours of a number of other holy sites in the Fatima region.

Excellent location. 1 minute walk to the basilica. Large modern reception, lounge, bar and restaurant areas. Service at bar and restaurant was terrific. Basic accommodation. Rooms tired and in need of refurbishment. More pilgrim style accommodation (3 single beds and no room for anything else). No amenities.

Stayed in this hotel for one night on a tour of Portugal. It’s so close to the Fatima Shrine - just steps away. Yet quiet, too. The rooms are nice and clean - comfy bed, quiet, huge and well appointed bathroom. Dinner was really disappointing. Breakfast was better , quite decent.

Stayed at this hotel as part of a tour. Would highly recommend it. We found the hotel well located with easy access to everything (although it’s a very small town). Everything is clean & modern and service was great. Breakfast area doesn’t start until 7:30am so if you need to leave early like we did may need to consider alternatives. Food was fine, but nothing special. WiFi was fast enough. Lots of people stay here as part of their religious pilgrimage so can only imagine how busy it gets at certain times.

Gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous hotel. Beautiful reception. Great room. Others probably have wrote about the positives, so I'll just go straight onto the negatives to not waste your time. 1. The buffet breakfast food was always lukewarm vs. hot. VERY frustrating and spoilt the breakfasts. They didn't have proper sausages but rather has the small hot dog sausages I've seen other hotels also use. Very frustrating again. Apart from those, the food and juices were great. The dinner was tasty and lovely. It's a shame it's the exact same food over and over again each night. You have to order it from a menu and they bother bring it to you. Drinks not included in the half-board. 2. The sofas on the third floor near the elevators- one of them was horribly stained and embarrassing to look at. They need to chuck it out. 3. It's a shame previous guests have stained the carpets in the room and in the communal areas- it brings down the hotel. Apart from the above things, it was a nice stay. I won't be returning as Fatima is boring after an hour or 2. Not the hotel's fault.

On the floor the moquette, oltre and.antigenic. The bedroom is very small and the fornitures are spartan. The bathroom fixtures are old both in the technology and the usage! The air conditioner equipment is noisy. My room number 404 (before eas 210 but the l8ght system doesn't work so they changed the room). . For the bath tube there is the nylon curtain: online in 3 start I have seen!

Great location! Less than 5 minute walk to the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Fatima and a few cafes/touristy stores in town. Very standard rooms and staff was friendly. Excellent dinner and even better breakfast! Stayed here on a bike tour so we only had one night here.
