Large, comfortable rooms with comfortable beds. Old TV-s with poor possibilities. Breakfast average, the restaurant is too little for the lot of hotel-guests. Suited not far from the sea. Nice staff, the whole hotel is very clean. You have several restaurants nearby.

How easy is it to walk up to the hotel?

My wife is 70 found it a stiff walk from the rail station which is immediately below the hotel, so we worked out a different route on foot, To extend the length of the walk, and the distance, but achieve a more moderate gradient, and she managed that OK. So, go up the steps from the station platform to the road, follow the road on the sidewalk, (pavement) to the right, then outside the roundabout at the Intercontinental hotel, turn sharp left, and continue along a slight gradient to the front door of the Eden Hotel. This is longer, more leisurely, and a more gradual gradient up to the hotel front door.

Is there parking available at the hotel if we would like to rent a car ?

Yes, they have a parking with a limited number of places. You can easily park your car outside in the neighbourhood on the street.

One of our party has a fear of heights/steep drops. Paths along steep drops are a problem even when securely fenced. Is this likely to be a problem here?

Hotel will be fine. Promenade along sea front has a few raised bits.
