The other reviews have really said it all. James and Aasta really bend over backwards to make the holiday special. The breakfasts are a delight--all tastes catered for and James helps you work out your tours, much of which can be done on foot. Everything is a very high standard and you are made very welcome. James and Aasta are...

Myself and my husband had an amazing time with Aasta, James and Luca! Beautiful room (Magnolia room) with an amazing view of the towns and ocean below. Getting to know the other guests made it a really friendly experience too, and James always made sure we something fun to do every day. The local village is so friendly, we really...

We had and amazing time in Colina Flora. Breakfast and hospitality are excellent. The location is beautiful and next to Palacio da Pena and other interesting monuments in Sintra. The pool and the room we had were great. Special breakfast (glutenfree) was also perfect!

We chose and were fortunate enough to stay for a week in June 2013 and it was everything we hoped for and more. The Marigold room was plenty big enough, had loads of charm and open doors to the covered patio, which was a great place to relax out of direct sunlight. It also had everything we could possibly need....

We stayed at Quinta Colina Flora in March. It offers excellent hospitality and it was a fantastic holiday. Our room was lovely, we had great breakfasts by Aasta and brilliant local knowledge from James. We had a great stay.

I recently spent ten wonderful days at Quinta Colina Flora. I loved my room, the view of the sea, the pool, the fascinating fellow guests, James' and Aasta's hospitality and Aasta's wonderful cooking. (Portugal is now a close second to Italy in my heart- and I'm a rabid Italophile!) It was a perfect base to visit beautiful Portugal (Lisbon, Sintra,...

We stayed at Colina Flora in May at the start of our European holiday. We had a hire car which we drove from the north but we arranged to meet James at Lisbon Airport after dropping the car as the information on Colina Flora said that we would not need a car for our stay there. This was absolutely the...

We had stayed in a self-catering cottage for a week and decided to spend our last night at this residence. We booked the Rose room which is set away from the main house down a path with Agapanthus either side of it (stunning). The room was very spacious, light, well decorated/furnished with a charming little patio where you could sit...

If you look at all the other reviews for Colina Flora it would seem to be just about perfect - well, it is, so long as you understand just a few things that I'll mention at the end. My wife and I stayed four nights at the end of a great two weeks in Portugal. The idea was to unwind...

The charming owners call it an eco-friendly guest house and it is, but it is much more. It is an extremely friendly place to stay! Located within an hour of Lisbon, it is a great base for exploring the area along the coast. Many of the guests were avid walkers and saw much of the area on foot. We had...
