I love this place, the view through valley to the see... omg... :) the house is very nice equiped, with lots of inspirational ideas/details and it is located in quiet location. In the house is also surprisingly large meditation/yoga room, the owner is very nice supportive and warm person. I was welcomed with the snack and Laura helped me to...

I was in my way hiking from Lisbon up North. Here, I found an absolutely pleasant accomodation. Laura knows how to be a great host. And the view from the terrace is georgous. Breakfast was nice as well. And there is a nice restaurant just around the corner (Had delicious fish).

Nice hostel located between Cascais and Sintra, with a great view. The nature around the hostel is beautiful and the Guincho beach is near. Cozy rooms and a lot of little spots in the house to relax. Helpful & nice host we would definitely come again.

If you don't surf you will not be part of the community! No information at all from the owner, aswell as no welcome or goodbye when we left, we ve seen him only to take the money. The walls are thin like paper. The mattresses were awful! No cleaning til you leave! The shower had mould and was often blocked....

The hostel is more a large homily house with many small nooks and places to relax and enjoy the beautiful sunset over Guincho beach. We purchased the accomodarion + 5 days of surf lessons and loved every one of them! The instructors were all so lovely and helpful and made it such an enjoyable experience. So sad to have to...

My mum and I decided to do something different this year and go on a mother-daughter surf holiday. After browsing the net thoroughly we chose to contact Pedros surf school and guincho surf beach hostel as it looked quite good on the website and everything we needed was included. Pedro seemed really nice and always replied straight away to my...

We were four girls sharing a four bedroom. Pedro picked us up from the airport and we had some good conversations already on the way to the camp. When we got there he showed us everything and answered a view questions we had left. The rooms were clean and a towel for each was already awaiting us. We were amazed...

Stayed here due to the convenient location - walking distance to Guincho beach, biking to Cascais. Lovely, recently renovated rooms in a villa (wouldn't call this a hostel). Excellent hospitality provided by Pedro and Karen. Pedro's the man in Guincho for organising surf lessons (his teachers were rated highly by my boys). You don't have to surf though - it's...

The atmosphere of the hostel is great! All thanks to the manager Rita who takes care of her guests as friends. The natural environment is breathtakingly beautiful. And the waves are fierce. The best of everything for a perfect beach holiday. Next to that you can also get fairly easy to Cascais, Sintra or Lissabon. For some cultural activities, or...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Description of The House and Spot: Guincho Wayra House is set in a picturesque valley, overlooking the breathtaking Guincho beach and the magic Sintra-Cascais Natural Park. Wayra in Quechua, the language of the Incas means wind; energy flowing and raising. The place offers a perfect balance between relaxation, tranquility and energy. Thus being our greatest inspiration to combine yoga sessions with outdoor activities like kitesurfing, surfing and SUP paddle boarding. The House enjoys a privileged location and views, only 15 min walk to Guincho. It has two dorms with 4 and 6 beds and double rooms with large balconies. We have a bright and comfortable Shala for yoga practices, spacious modern kitchen, laundry service and central heating. Our common areas are comfortable and surrounded by nature. The living room includes cable TV, DVD player and Wi-Fi connection for the exclusive use of our guests. From here you will see the most stunning sunsets over the sea. Guests can prepare their own meals in a fully equipped kitchen. A healthy and energizing breakfast is included as part of your stay, setting you up to make the most of your day! The Water School “Kitesurf Adventures” and Yoga classes: We choose the stunning Guincho Beach, located 3 minutes’ drive from our House, to teach the first part of the Kitesurf course, which takes place on the sand. Once you are able to handle and control the kite, we enter the water to learn the next stages; we will take you in a trip to Fonte da Telha beach, located 25 kms south of Lisbon. A paradise for kitesurfers! As we also love the waves and windless days, we offer you the possibility to experience Surf lessons for beginners and advanced at Guincho beach and SUP lessons (Stand-Up Paddle boarding) in Cascais area, activities that require balance, concentration and a dash of daring. Surf and Sup lessons are given in the mornings and with the steady wind picking up after launch, we fill our vans of material and we take you to navigate! We provide shuttle service to the spots and all the necessary gear, insurance and IKO certification. Our House has an area dedicated to Yoga and meditation, a Shala surrounded by magic and nature, available for morning and afternoon practices. Those who choose yoga and watersports packs will start early with the practice, then a healthy breakfast and continue their day with scheduled water sports. Our instructors are certified. They also are incredibly dynamic and professional in the different sports training that our school offers. We speak English, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese and German. ... more   less
