Great location to explore on foot this beautiful city! Comfortable, very friendly staff, professional and attentive. Good breakfast buffet. Public transport, bank and restaurants are at walking distance. Excellent central hotel with restaurant facing the beautiful garden. Recommended!
I was very satisfied with the hotel. It is centrally located in town within walking distance to many sights and restaurants.. The rooms are clean and the beds comfortable. The breakfast buffet is varied and delicious. The only drawback is: the rooms facing the plaza get a lot of noise from the cars and trucks driving on those beautiful cobblestone streets. Otherwise a fine place to stay.
Overall, a truly amazing experience. The hotel is in the heart of Angra and allows for easy walking to fabulous restaurants, shopping, and sites. The hotel staff was exceptional...especially all the service staff working breakfast and bar. The hotel has a wonderful bar that has happy hour and food. Breakfast was a little underwhelming and the rooms are on the small size, but I would absolutely recommend this hotel.
Arriving in Angra do Heroismo at the main square, the location of the hotel. In my opinion the best for exploring the city. The bright, open and modern lobby was welcoming as were the front desk staff. Check in was done quickly and as I was earlier than check in time, I was able to store my luggage in the room just off the lobby. After returning from exploring and grabbing lunch at a cafe, I was handed my room key and proceeded up the elevator to the second floor and my room. The hallways are well lit from the atrium over the indoor pool. The room was spacious with two double beds. The window looked out onto part of the public garden next to the hotel. There was a large TV and coffee and tea making supplies, include bottled water. There are lots of outlets for charging and a closet with drawers and a safe near the entry door. The bathroom was large with lots of fluffy towels, nice toiletries and a tub with shower. There was a toilet and bidet. The room was spotless. One the first floor is the restaurant which looks out onto the public garden, where you can get breakfast, which had a very good buffet selection and friendly and efficient staff. It is open for dinner and while I didn't eat there, the offerings on the menu looked good. They have conference/event facilities on the first floor. In the lobby is a bar with very good seating and attentive bar staff. They have a large television where I watched a football game and chatted with other guests. It was quite popular. The central location was the best for walking around and exploring. There are plenty of cafes and shops nearby. There is a bank next door for money exchange as well as a bus stop only steps from the door. Definitely a place I will choose for my next visit.…
Very friendly staff who spoke English. They were able to help us make dinner reservations and answer any questions that we had. Since it was our first time on the island we had a lot of questions. Great Bar. Clean rooms. Taxis were lined up right outside the front door and if you don't speak Portuguese you should be prepared for a language barrier. There is a bus stop across the street and public transportation is an inexpensive and an alternative way to see the island. We will stay at this hotel again.
