You will hardly find a place like this anywhere else. The natural beauty, the architectural rigueur and simplicity, the attention to detail, everything at the Quinta is about making your eyes happy. The rest of you Will follow. The Azorean anti-cyclone that usually brings instatability and rain has shifted to the southeast, so as to leave São Jorge with perfect subtropical weather. Two whole months of blue skies and passing clouds have left us with a sense of elation and privilege. Warm and humid, the sea water calm at 26 centigrade, with stunning natural swimming pools, no jelly fish, and a moderate amount of tourists chosen between the ranks of civilised Nature lovers, the spirit of the island lives on this magnificent boutique hotel.
The Azoreans, old Atlantides that they are, do not believe in amenities, or comfort. That' s also why the Quinta is exceptional. Everywhere you look there is a comfy corner with chair or sofa or one of those hanging swinging whatchamacallits that make you prone to reverie. People usually talk about splendid breakfasts, and I endorse them. But for me it is the beauty, the quietness, the silence and the powerful sunsets that really count. Perfect smiling hostesses to all this bounty, Manuela and Joana manage this very special place. Their work is relentless and of epic proportions. I heartily thank them both for letting me stay a fortnight. I am certainly keen on becoming a regular. The island needs at least ten days of leisure. Don' t come in a haste. Take your time and let it grow on you.

The multilingual communication and exchanges during the stay were always relevant, rich and exciting.
In short, it’s a real pleasure to discover such a place. A huge thank you to Joana and Maria-Manuella.

The Quinta is very beautiful, welcoming, facing the sea and Morro das Velas, with Pico Island behind it providing a beautiful background. Everything is very careful and appealing to well-being.
We were also very well received by Dna. Manuela and Joana, an outstanding girl, always attentive and who was a dear to us. He did everything to provide us with the best possible experience on the island, giving tips, suggestions, always worried about whether we were ok; It was lovely!! (and makes some great eggs!!!).
We had a wonderful stay. Thank you very much!!
(...we will come back)
