From 191h to 261t of September 2015 we (2 persons) spent a wonderful time on the Island of Pico. We had wonderful opportunities to be part of sustainable and unforgettable whale-and-dolphin-watching tours with "Espaco Thalassa", and we were living in the Guest House of the organisation, in "Whale'come". We had a great time there: a cozy, nice room (with Atlantic...

We stayed in Caso Do Frances, a house above the Espaco Talassa whale watching station and next door to the Whalecome hotel. Full of character it's built from local lava, was spotlessly clean when we arrived and with a washing machine, fridge, Tv and two bathrooms it ticked all the boxes required for a comfortable stay. The food cooked in...

The hotel organize whale watching tours. They have a team of experienced marine biologists who know really a lot about what to expect. However, if you stay there for one week with children, whale watching is quite expensive there (same price as adults) in comparison with a concurrent located in the same street. Our room was really clean and well...

Actually we staid at Caso do Frances a nice little house combinating local (lava) style & design. We were 8 of us ; for more privacy I recommand a max of 6 in party. The food at the hotel, home-made and based on local productions was excellent.

A wonderful place well located. The staff is very kindly. The rooms are clean. Food in the restaurant is simple but good taste. I have some food allergies and have no problem to find something to eat. Sometimes the cook adapt some meal for me. Thanks a lot.

Stayed at Whale’come recently for 3 nights. Out of the 68 reviews on Trip Advisor 55 are either ‘excellent’ or ‘good’ so these people obviously enjoyed their stay. However, I feel differently about the place. Pros Very clean rooms Masses of hot water Food in the restaurant pretty good Restaurant and kitchen staff great, they try really hard to make...

Despite of the book that they show as menu, as they follow a precise local philosophy, the choice is not so wide and the food is nothing special. It's probably more suitable as cafeteria and snack food provider. However, they also act as restaurant if the hotel. Everything in the average: service, quality, pricing.

We had such an amazing week here, it was truly the holiday of a lifetime. The view from our room was out to the harbour and ocean, it was clean modern and comfortable, not huge but then there were so many fantastic things to do we were hardly in there apart from washing and sleeping. The hotel serves great food...
