The hotel is clean but simple. IKEA provided the furniture. Mattresses soft. Shower narrow with unstable shower curtain. Our sea view (+ 6€) was spoiled by the noisy harbor construction site. Breakfast consisted of white bread, cheese, ham, honey and maple syrup. Flakes, milk and orange juice were available. There was also Azores tea and dark broth called coffee. The scrambled eggs were made fresh at 8 but not kept warm. The opposite was true for cheese and ham. Staff nice, young and inexperienced. The same company does whale watching very well. For accommodation I recommend the Casa do Brasão. A little more expensive but at least two standards better.

My wife and I stopped for dinner one Saturday night at this bistro because it intrigued us a lot every time they passed by the village. Local not crowded, as indeed Lajes in general. We ordered two main dishes of the day, big and delicious, two glasses of Pico wine (red and white), a bottle of water and a banana house cake with a mega ball of chocolate ice cream, unsurpassed, spending 40 euros in total. We had dinner really well and the service seemed very friendly and helpful. The interior is really nice, and makes the imagination travel for that is passionate about the genre. We would stay there again if the departure was not imminent. Very recommended.

Small but clean room. It is noisy in the rooms you can hear the neighbors well. But the location is top notch and so is the hygiene! The hotel is located on the harbor from where the whale watch trips are organized. So during the day it is a bit busy but after 17:30 it is quiet again in the village. There are a handful of restaurants but the restaurant that belongs to the hotel is fine! The breakfast is also good, fresh bread with some types of toppings.

It's a mess. First you just have to make a credit card deposited of 30% but they just let you book a room when you also make a 75 Euro payment for a whale watching trip! The reservation is just possible to do online but it was canceled after three phonecalls. 75 Euros for a boat trip is much more than regularly on the Islands.

Some rooms are in a separate house above the main village, about 10 minutes walk from the hotel. The views are better and the Shearwaters fly very close at night on their way to/from their nests which is a fantastic sight/sound. The rooms are pretty basic but functional.

Preferably zero stars. Food was either cold, raw, burned or cardboardy. The waitress was incredibly unfriendly and had an incredibly annoyed look. At least one order was misplaced and when sent back to the kitchen you only had cold food. Simply not recommended

We ate yeast cake sandwiches. They were served quickly considering that the restaurant was full. They were good but the best thing about this restaurant is the terrace with an open view of Pico mountain. The service was quite attentive.

Bad service! One hour and 20 minutes for 2 toasts. Stay away from this place as much as possible! Shame on you, they wouldn't even let you move the tables and we stayed in the sun. Something unheard of! Normal costs, normal food but they did everything to make us patient.

I really liked it, the staff is very friendly, I liked the room and the view of Pico. It was worth it and I recommend it, it's a relaxed atmosphere. I'll definitely be back next time, whether for work or on vacation.
