Detailed Reviews
I went here on a class trip with my class of 24 people. We stayed for 5 nights and it was a great stay.
The facilities were good and even though our room was full, this wasn’t a problem due to storage rooms under the beds. Each bed had curtains which provided a sense of privacy and made it possible to get changed in the room.
The bathroom and showers were in good condition. The only thing that could be improved was water pressure in the showers. There were plenty of sinks which meant more people could use the bathroom at once. It was always clean and there was no smell.
We had breakfast at the hostel, which was simple but good for a hostel breakfast. You could get bread, some toppings, cereals and yoghurt. We also got a variation of fruit every day. The kitchen for residents was well equipped and spacious.
The hostel is no longer than a 10 minute walk from the town centre, and only a few hundred meters away from the nearest bus station. For information on the bus schedule and other questions we asked the receptionists who were very helpful.
I highly recommend staying here if you are looking for a hostel in the area.

A nice hostel with good service. The rooms were simple but cozy and the beds had curtains you could draw if you wanted privacy.
There was a kitchen where you could make in addition to a breakfast included in the price of the hostel.
If I were to point out one thing it would be the showers. They got cold quickly when several people were showering and the pressure was low.
Otherwise a very nice hostel! Would recommend:)

+1
I had a wonderful time at Sagres Sun Stay: I was very Lucky and Happy because they offer great hiking trips and so I had the chance to go hiking with Ana who is a superb Guide and she showed and explained every flower. We followed the famous Fishermen's trail and hiked to Cabo St. Vincente. The hiking trip was very well organized and included garbage collection and a Meditation Session at the Sea. We also went to a Fort on the way that I would never have discovered on my own. Since I came to Portugal to go hiking and walked mostly alone I was very happy and surprised that this Hostel offered hiking trips with a Guide - Lucky me! I stayed at so many Hostels at Portugal's coast but Sagres Sun Stay was the only one which offered hiking trips. Thank u for this unique Experience!

We spent two nights in a dormitory and two nights in an apartment, the environment is very welcoming and friendly as you would expect in a hostel, they rent surfing equipment at a good price, they have lessons (but not for children) and pleasant evening activities around the pool . The only flaw is the cleanliness in the kitchen, also due to some guests who don't clean up after cooking, but the use of the fridge and stove is practical. Sagres is fantastic for surfers, we recommend having a car to travel to the various spots or having the camp or lessons with a hostel so they take you depending on the weather conditions of the waves

We were a big group of 24 people staying 5 days in relation to a school trip. The location is good, where it’s in walking distance to the city centre and beaches. If you’re going surf as we did, you have to have some sort of transportation.
The communication with the staff went smoothly, as there were always someone who could speak English, and the hospitality was great. The quality of facilities was good and the rooms were clean and well maintained. Only downside is the shower-time as the hostel uses energy from solar panels, therefore making limited time to showering.
I would highly recommend this place to anyone who’s looking for a nice and affordable place to stay.

Cozy private room for our family group of three. Beds weren’t the most comfortable, but bedding was nice and room amenities helpful - drying rack, mini fridge, and hot shower with good water pressure and plenty of hot water was much appreciated after long days hiking and surfing in the beautiful Sagres area. We signed up for one day of surf lessons through the hostel, and the instructor was really good. Careful observation and helpful tips for each of us.

Very nice overall. we were 24 people staying in dorms of 12 beds. We know eachother so there was no problems. Extremely good service. Located pretty central, to minute walk to the supermarked, 10 min walk to the centrum, 15 min to the beach. A pool that was very nice. Breakfast was very good. bread toast juice etc. common bathrooms and shower.

I went to this surf hostel with my son and it was a good experience, the environment is quite young but there is room for other age groups as well. I recommend the isolated room, we like privacy. The pool has a fantastic resident dj that makes the difference at night. Some days have party and karaoke, unpretentious to the hostel audience but friendly as well. My son liked the surf lessons (although the Sagres waves are not for beginners and I personally, even surfing I got hurt by the wind.

sagres sun stay is a great hostel, Very simple with good rooms for just sleeping in. We were travelling as a class with 24 people aged 19-20. We stayed in rooms with 12 people in each room. No problem with the rooms. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpfull, and also really respectful. They were almost like a family. The pool was also very noice. Great kitchen, with all the usual equipment. The breakfast was good for my standards. With bread, cereal, fruit, and maybe a little small variaty in topping for da bread. Located a small walk from centrum. 10 minutes maybe. Supermarked very close, 2 minute walk. 15min walk to the beach. Great price i like. common bathroom with showers. Common rooms we could stay in. Offered extra coins for the shower to us and also gave us extra room in the fridge. Extremely good service. Overall a very good experience.

Since it started its journey back in 2019, we have stayed always and several times a year, I do not change it.
The place gives off good vibrations.Very friendly and helpful staff.
They have always treated us like their family and I mean the owners, hardworking people where there are, with immense hearts.
