My boyfriend and I ended up in Lagos unexpectedly, and all of the hotels were full. We saw a sign for Casa Sousa. When an elderly woman in a very nice house answered, we felt that we had lucked out. The quarters themselves, shown to us by her awkward son a few hundred meters down the street, however, did not...

My husband and I stayed at Casa Sousa for 2 nights. The owner is an elderly woman who is very kind and welcoming. We had a double room with a full closet, bathroom, and small balcony. We stayed here for a week on our trip to Lagos. The hotel/ hostel is in an ideal location, seconds away from the Town Centre and a short walk from the Town's beaches. On arriving we were greeted by a lovely elderly Portuguese lady, very friendly and welcoming despite having very little English we communicated quite well in a mix os sign language Spanish and English!. You have to pay the balance of your room in cash when you arrive as none of the Lagos Hostels I've ever been to have any card...

Clean, simple rooms and bathrooms. Just a short walk into the centre of town (less than 5mins) and only slightly longer to the beach. The little old ladies that run it were fantastic - even when a couple of us got arrested and the police rolled up to the door at 5am to collect our passports, they still treated us...

It was an excellent place owned by a sweet lady, there was one more girl who was very polite, I loved the place its like your own mini peaceful holiday home . I dont have enough words to describe the place but it was simply marvelous
