I'm so glad I found this B&B. What a gem! So nice! Great renovation of Quinta da Falcoeira since 4 years ago, if I remember right. The couple how owns and operates the B&B told me that the place was abandoned for 20years!, before they bought it. Im impressed with how much they have made since then! My room was big, nice clean bathroom, good shower. Good bed with clean sheets and very well made bed. This time to Portugal I travelled on my own. So I was thinking that I did't want to spend so much on a hotell or B&B. I founded this place in the last minute, I got 3 nights for around 180€. including a great great breakfast! Ana and Antonio helped me to find a road bike for my short stay. So helpful in every way! I can really recommend this B&B. If you don't have a car, uber was cheap and good in Luz, or a bike of course ;-) I hope to see you again! What a great place you have! …
Ana and Antonio are so warm and welcoming. Ana gave us tips of the local ‘what’s good and not’ in this area where the west and south coast of Portugal meet. Went to the Praia de Salema - very cute coastal town and a walk by the beach. The close by restaurant rebeira at Vila do Bispo had us trying the ‘goose barnacles’ or percebes “perseebesh” which is a crustacean that we had for the first time- delicacy of the area and yummy. Their rice and fish stew was incredible! And they were so welcoming despite being after closing time. There is so much to experience in this area - kayaking, great food, night life and a generally vibrant environment. The Quinta is very tastefully done and obviously a labor of love over the years. This was by far the highlight of our trip so much so that we extended our stay by a day in this beautiful home to soak it in some more. Will come back for sure!…
Friendly warm welcome - feel at home Great to be able to use fridge and a honesty bar. Really good breakfast! Unusually warm nights so a bit warm in the room but fan available Bed a bit too hard for our taste Great location for trekking and biking .
Warm welcome from Ana, she gave us plenty of recommendation of places to see and eat. Excellent breakfast with plenty of choices, fresh orange juice (she prepared gluten free items for me). We have access to tea and coffee all day long, fridge at disposal of the guests. Bed very comfortable, shared bathroom super clean. Quiet area, nice garden. We really enjoyed our stay ! Perhaps only missing would be the aiconditionning in the summer but it was not necessary for us in september.
Our stay at Ana & Antonio’s place was like coming home to friends. Their house is awesome, the naturbwhich surrounds it stunning! Breakfast at the terrance every morning is an absolute highlight. Definitely come back! Thanks for the time! Loved it
