We had a fantastic time here. Villa crossed with a hotel so best of both worlds. I would warn though you do need to have a car here however hotel does offer transfer services. I would strongly recommend car hire. Bungalows are modern, clean and spacious with all self catering facilities including washing machine. However I would have liked there to be a dishwasher! It was very quiet and I'm sure that's because of time of the year. That suited us though. Grass football pitch, a sand volleyball Court and tennis court available. Mini golf and bbq available as communal use. Pools were OK. This isn't a large hotel resort, but again we liked this. Restaurant wasn't fully up and running however staff were very accommodating and the chef managed to rustle up some very good food for us. The waiter/manager did not charge us for our meal which I found very generous. The food we had was excellent! The restaurant formally opened a few days later and again we had a fabulous meal. When we checking in the receptionist was very welcoming and personally took us to our room and gave us a tour of the resort. A lovely personal touch! All the staff we encountered were exceptionally polite, helpful and friendly. The resort is about 8 min drive from Luz which has a beautiful beach and lovely restaurants. It about 10min drive to Lagos old town. What a place. Loads of restaurants, shops and bars. There is an underground car park at the old town. Maia Praia beach nearby and is lovely. It's 30 min drive to Albefuira which we visited after spending the day at Zoomarine. I would definitely stay at Aldeia Azul again and would highly recommend.

Disappointed this place was so bad after reading previous reviews. Bungalow very dated, sofa uncomfortable and a really bad smell as soon as we entered that lingered all week. Staff on reception not helpful. The worst part was the unuseable restaurant. Never saw anyone in it as the menu is just so bizarre. Totally pretentious chef who thinks holiday makers want to pay €26 for overly complicated main courses in a very basic complex. Such a nuisance to have to drive to Luz and Lagos every night for dinner after being out all day. If the restaurant served a normal menu, people would use it. Why do they want it to be empty? Pool area much smaller and more oppressive than photos. No point staying here in the middle of nowhere with a restaurant that can't be used.

We arrived in 7 seater airport shuttle organised by hotel no problems!! We were given 2 mezzanine villas next door to each other. Amazing location, very clean and beautiful. it was raining but warm, we had lunch in the restaurant burgers to die for with a welcome prosecco!!! Fabulous place. Pool was cold and refreshing but the hot tub was hot hot hot!! just what we needed. April is closed for a lot of businesses in Portugal and the weather is hit and miss but we did get sunburnt on the last few days. Praia Luz is the best place to go for beach and food and its literally down the road. We had beers in the campsite down the road too which was fun as football was showing. Aldeia Azul was quiet and reserved and excellent for relaxing with waiter service around the pool areas. Football pitch for the lads. You do need a car though! buses aren't great and same price as taxis. The restaurant on site has the best stone baked pizzas very reasonable price. But the dinner is a bit pricey if there is a lot of you. we were a large family. We would return definitely here as the little villas were so cute and cleaned daily. Brilliant tvs we watched Netflix and movies! AC units are fab as we had heat as well as cool. April can be chilly at night. The kitchen is very well stocked with everything you could think of to make a meal. Everything brand new. Loved it here. The staff were excellent we could not fault it. Very polite and helpful on reception. Lovely place.

Me and my gf were looking for a place outside the centre to relax and chill and this location perfectly matched our goals. It's clean, well managed and with many outside activities available such as tennis, mini golf and a big public pool. Inside we got get kitchen, laundry machine, 2 bedrooms, big bathroom and a well working Air Co in every room. It's suitable for large families and couples or either big group of friends (sharing the price the whole cost became ridiculous) The structure ia also pets friendly! Feeling like in a hotel but we a good dose of indipendence and we enjoyed It a lot! Will definitely be back!

Aldeia Azul is a great place to relax after a day exploring Lagos. The position is perfect to go explore the amazing beaches of Lagos and the west part of Algarve Coast. The structure has a nice pool and a jacuzzi and you can also play tennis and relax in the garden. There is also a restaurant and the staff is kind and available. The apartment was clean and nice. Highly recommended.
