We chose this hotel for his location. It faces the marina where all the small boats are parked. When we checked in we got suite on the 4th floor. Unfortunately it was quite dusty. When we checked with reception we were told that we may change the next day after breakfast. The buffet breakfast was very good indeed with a variety of food and there was a pianist playingü evergreens and vintage songs like "asä. time goes by". We were then shown a suite on the third floor which looked more bright and very clean so we moved. We were very happy and thanked Silvia for her help. As it was my wife's birthday we were offered a nice bottle of sparkling wine before our lunch. Also at breakfast the restaurant staff came around with a big slice of chocolate tart with 1 lit candle and sang happy birthday song. The restaurant on the 5th floor has a oanoramic view of Faro and its marina. …
We had a great room overlooking the Marina. Nice clean room, the staff was excellent and the breakfast was very good. We did try the buffet dinner one night and that was excellent. i would have given it 5 stars if they had a better parking situation. They offer limited free parking out front, but it's really public parking, so the locals grab spots early. There is a nice large free parking area about a 15 minute walk away. It's near the north entrance to The Old City. Other than that, we had a great time and would stay there again.
We booked a marina view room which is definitely worth it. The balcony overlooking the marina and historical town was a special experience. The breakfast was huge with plenty of options to choose from. Staff at the restaurant were not as welcoming as the front desk staff. The rooms were a bit small. The wifi signal was weak. These are the only areas of improvement. The hotel is newly renovated and quite chic. The 5th floor bar and terrace was beautiful. We couldn't use the pool due to the seasonality. Overall a good choice in Faro! We walked to the train station and the bus station is right next to the hotel.
This was our first visit to Portugal and decided on a short break to Faro. Hotel Eva was a wonderful choice from check in to check out, everything was perfect. We had a marine view room and we were so glad we paid extra for this. The room was very comfortable and cosy, comfortable beds, spotlessly clean with plenty of wardrobe and drawer space. Tea and coffee tray also provided. The bathroom was very modern with walk in shower and constant hot water. Plenty of toiletries provided. The dining room was on the 5th floor so had magnificent views. The breakfast was amazing, so much choice - hot and cold, you will not go hungry. Cannot comment on dinner as we were B&B only. Faro is a quaint place, the old town is lovely to walk around and some very nice shops. I know it's November and probably a bit out of season but in the evening it was a bit too quiet for us. It was a bit like a ghost town after 8 o'clock. Not that we are party people but it lacked atmosphere. Just our opinion. Local bus service is excellent for getting around. We also had lovely weather which was a bonus. There is also a fantastic shopping centre about a 20 minute walk from hotel called Forum Algarve. We highly recommend this hotel, you will not be disappointed. Thank you for a lovely stay.…
Perfect location. Good views overflow the habour and the lagoon and just a few meters away from the old village and the shopping district. Good service and friendly staff. Rooms not 100% up to date but everything above compensate for this
