Excellent location, clean modern and affordable. After reading reviews here I was extremely worried but when we arrived I was very happy. The hotel California which you check into is only 1 minute down the street. It's not a big deal. The rooms are as already stated clean and modern. Our room was the standard room and the bathroom facilities...

To keep it easily readable, i will sum up the positives and negatives according to my experience as follows: Positive: - the bars are right in front of the hotel (this could be negative if you do not plan to get wasted every night to be able to fall asleep) Negative: - hotel staff made a habit of empty promises....

IN a word NO, maybe a few more words, give it a miss. Absolutely bad. Keys obtained from California Hotel down street, where 'Breakfast' is served. Had room at back with small terrace, completely hemmed in and 7, yes seven, air con units so I would much preferred 'Bar Street' noise than those machines. Room small and dark, crazy lift,...

I feel awful as I have never moaned about holiday accommodation on here before but I'm totally disgusted. We arrived today after paying just over £230 for 4 nights. Can't breath in the tiny room they have given us as the air con doesn't work. Went back to reception and explained that I have asthma, and was told they would...

My son and his mate, decided to stay at The Polana for their first holiday away, when they(i) booked the Polana they decided (just about) to book a superior room, it was a little more expensive than the normal room but worth the extra (i thought anyway) before arriving (4 weeks) they requested twin "beds" they duly arrived at 8PM...

Hotel basic, clean, inexpensive. As other post lift worked day 1. Then we had to use stairs No clean towels or bedding. A lady taps every day to empty the empty bin and give you a new toilet roll? No wifi, boiler broke, All the above not really an issue, because old town is just lovely HOWEVER..... THE NOISE WAS...

It isn't even a hotel you have to go up the street to get a key, eat 'breakfast' which is a joke and swimming pool, which is also a joke! The room is clean and new but the balcony is bigger than it. The street does not stop until 4.30 AM so unless you get drunk every night you won't...

The hotel is located in a busy area near the main squar, thus it gets quite loud especially at nights. Wifi works flakey, there was no reception in the room for most of the time (had to go couple of floors down). As others have stated here, to enter you need to go through the reception of California hotel. It's...
