This is the third time we have stayed here and again it didn't disappoint. Lovely grounds, friendly staff and quiet setting. We arrived at midnight to check in, they even kept the bar open so that we could get a couple of drinks each to take back to the room as we just wanted to settle in and unpack. I've...

Firstly I would like to say 'obrigado' to all the staff at Balaia-Sol for everything. Nothing was too much trouble and they were always very friendly and always happy to help. I have read a few reviews about the €150 deposit and people having trouble getting this back, we had no trouble at all as soon as we handed our...

Beautiful clean complex. Staff are fantastic. Approx 20 min walk to strip. About 5 Euro taxi fair to old town. Just to make you aware on arrival you have to pay 150 Euro refundable deposit for any room damage. All told this is a great place to stay and will definitely return.

My boyfriend and I, both in our mid 20s are just back from a week at Balaia So. As we're not too into clubbing etc anymore I was looking for somewhere quiet however this was a little too quiet for us, there was very little atmosphere and it was almost silent around the pool however this may be perfect for...

I chose this hotel because I love small, quiet hotels and I definitely hit the jackpot!! This hotel is well away from the beaten track so lovely and quiet, no fighting for sunbeds. The apartment was big, well equipped and spotlessly clean (and cleaned again twice while we were there by a lovely friendly, smiley lady). The pool area is...

We have just returned from 10 days at this small hotel. The staff were nice, especially Ana and Joao in the bar. The hotel was clean and reasonable value for money. The drinks in the bar were priced outrageously. A small beer was 2.5 euros, except for between 4 & 6 pm when a 'happy hour' reduced it to 1.5...

We stayed here at the beginning of September, and choose it because it was clean, had a decent pool, and it was close to the strip. We were pleasantly surprised by the hotel, it was very clean and looked lovely. The apartment was very nice, had basic kitchen utensil and the beds were comfortable enough. The bathroom is very congested,...

Good afternoon, - In Balaia Sol Holiday club we change towels every other day. - 150, euros of deposit are in our contracts with all tour operators, like was informed in your voucher. So you knew very well this issue. - Nuno, the reception surpervisor, is a very nice and polite person. You must respect him, if you know what...

Just back from a two week stay at the Balaia Sol. This is our second year in a row and we wouldn't hesitate to come back in summer 2017. Staff as usual were fantastic. Our maid service was great. She was always cheery and smiling. A special thanks to Nuno who sorted out our booking when our holiday firm went...

Balaia sol is a small hotel, the grounds are beautifully done and our apartment was huge, clean and the beds were comfy. Our apartment looks out to the pool but we found this a great advantage to pop in and out of the room (the pool area was never too loud, just music from the bar). The bar was fairly...
