We had a great time in quinta do marvao. The house is much more beautiful then you can imagine by seeing the pictures, has great lansdscape and surroundings. Very warm, cosy and comfortable. The owners, Irene and Jorge were very nice and helpful during our stay. What makes it particularly nice to share is that it haves 2 rooms with...

The cleanness is perfect, you feel everything is done with love. And the private swimmingpool is a must, the view from inside is just amazing and the light blue water so clean and crystaline! This quinta is a little hard to find so please mind the route that the landlord supplies. Location is absolutely unique in the middle of a nature reserve. Fabulous vouw in the evening over the valley. An highly appriciated extra is the landlord explaining the history of the area: recommended!

We rented the studio (adjacent to the owner's house) for one night during our road trip in Portugal and Spain. Marvao itself is a remote village; therefore the chalet is at a good distance from a highway. We arrived late in the day and we were a little bit drawn back by what we perceived as isolation. Until we met...

This is one of those places of which we find absolute peace and rest, to escape the routine and bustle of city life. Located in the countryside, has a simple and very welcoming decor. The owners are very friendly and helpful.

It used to be a school and we slept in what used to be the teachers room. That itsself is satisfying, never could have dreamt i would reach this point......

We spent the weekend in the eco-chalet and it was just perfect! A very useful advice: follow the instructions you will get from the owners in your confirmation mail instead of following your GPS and do not get there the first time at night :-) All place is very well decorated and cosy, with a breathtaking terrace view. Owners are...

We rented the room attached to the family's home, not the independent dwelling. The room was smallish, but totally adequate. The husband and wife who own the home and rental are so kind, smart and interesting! They brought us into their kitchen, gave us cold beer on a hot day and fed us a snack from their fridge. Goodness, they...

We are a family with 3 kids (12, 4 and 2), are used to travel in all type of accommodation. We spent a night in the eco-chalet, it was perfectly fit for the family. It is very close to Marvao castle, in the middle of nowhere, the view is impressive. Jorge, our host, was very friendly and helpful, he gave...
