Excellent quality/price ratio! Bathroom inside the room provides privacy. Air conditioning, high-speed Wi-Fi, flat TV, fridge and kettle all inside the room. Good quality sheets and towels. Very good cleaning throughout the accommodation. Everything has been renovated, from the bathrooms to the furniture. The owner should update the photographs, as what we found during our stay surpasses the images presented. We will be back and recommend!

Excellent location, close to everything. Comfortable beds and good towels. Private bathroom with hairdryer. The room had a television, mini fridge, kettle, air conditioning and excellent Wi-Fi. Excellent cleaning. The reception has a drinks and snack machine, and also has coffees and teas. Definitely worth repeating for the price-quality ratio.

okay, so the Residencial Antonio Mocisso seems a little shady upon arrival, but lemme tell ya', this place demonstrates you shouldn't judge a book by its cover. first of all, I am not a 20-something backpacker anymore. at this point, I'm a 40-something fairly seasoned traveler who used to stay in dives but has grown accustomed to more comfortable digs (though not a luxury traveler at all). when I arrived in Elvas, it was the first time in YEARS that I decided to just "show up" in a town and look for a place to stay with no reservation, which is not really done much these days, and you can tell. there are not as many choices as back in the nineties, when there were abundant pensions, hostels and family-run hotels everywhere. this is the ONLY PLACE i could find in downtown Elvas other than the expensive-looking place at the town entrance. I admit, it seemed "off." something about the entrance, something about the non-presence of anyone at reception and having to call a cell phone number taped to the front door. but I took a chance and it paid off. a woman came after calling, she was super nice, and she showed us up to our room, which was EXTREMELY CHEAP for today's prices. and it was perfectly fine. obviously nothing amazing: there was no view and it was a bit chilly even with the heater on (but i think we were there on the coldest day of the year in Elvas), no breakfast. but the room was perfectly clean, the bathroom was fine with good hot water. tv. A/C if that were needed. there was NO "ick factor" at all. and steps from the main plaza. it felt like staying at a family-run Iberian hostel 20 years ago, but cleaner and with more water pressure. wonderful bargain and who needs breakfast included when there are numerous cafés, restaurants and BAKERIES within a 5-minute walk? nearby we had a huge, unforgettably delicious dinner at a local restaurant (the "adega regional"). so, you're not gonna' spend your honeymoon at this affordable motel but your wallet and feet will be thankful, and it won't be a negative experience. good place to rest after a long day's sightseeing...I recommend!

We overnighted here and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The room was basic and clean with a very comfortable bed, which is the main thing really. No breakfast but a very nice cafe just around the corner.
