Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Have stayed in other hotels in the region and this compares very well. Handy location right in front of the historic Aqueduct so great photo opportunity straight away. You can walk up right along the aqueduct into the old town but it is a steep walk up to one of the higher parts of the town. Easier to walk a very short bit up the road to the next crossing then along the other way into the town. There is a petrol station and a spar right beside the hotel with a restaurant above. The hotel has a large cool reception area and the reception staff were very pleasant and helpful. The rooms were clean and of a good standard. The facilities are good and the communal areas are nice and bright and comfortable. No restaurant, it only caters to large events but you can eat from a snack menu at the bar attached to the hotel. Although there is an access from the hotel, the bar is not part of the hotel and can close early in the evening. The bathroom is good, the shower water does go out onto the floor and the light is on a short timer so expect the light to go off and leave you in total darkness. Waving your arm about switches it back on. While in the shower you have to wave your arm outside the shower which is not convenient. Breakfast is a continental buffet with warm bacon and small hotdog type sausages. A bit different and fairly basic but enough to get you going in the day. Although very impressive view, many of the rooms don't face that view. We spent much of the time out exploring so that wasn't an issue. Would definitely go back.

Our room had two single beds, a wardobe with safe, portable luggage rack, writing desk and chair, reverse cycle A/C and small TV (with over 100 channels!). However, there was no fridge. The bathroom had a shower over the bath, hair dryer and bidet.
Fortunately, our room overlooked the bridge and roads outside which provided great views.
There did not seem to be any food outlets close to the hotel and a drive into town or dinner at the hotel (which we had) seem the only options.
The only hot food at breakfast was scrambled eggs and small sausages, plus cereal and fruit.
We only stayed the one night so are unable to effectively rate quality of service, etc.

Well this is a style of hotel you will find in many places of the world. The receptionists were friendly and helpful. The place was clean and tidy. Room was a good size and the bed comfortable. Outside the city centre. Breakfast was somewhat lacking in variety

Congratulations for the service, care and attention.
I would like to mention in special, a great thank you to Mr. Nuno in the reception. He is very kind and professional not to mention a well educated and proud of his land, Alentejo.
Well done Mr. Nuno, thank you for your care and great time conversation about cartography.
Parabéns.

This is a clean and comfortable hotel. It’s pretty basic in what it provides. No in room services, standard but limited buffet breakfast and whilst there is bar attached to the hotel this is not part of the hotel (they do provide some decent bar food in the evening). Coincidentally, those that run the bar also run a tuk tuk around Elvas and you should avail yourself of this service.
Off street parking is available (across from the hotel under the aqueduct) but be careful as there are two parking areas and one looks like it has to be paid for.
Its location is just a short walk outside of the old town (maybe 10-15 minutes). Next door is a service station and supermarket.

Highly recommend this small hotel located opposite the aqueduct of Elvas. Hotel is not luxurious but offers renovated rooms at a reasonable price and with a good breakfast. Ample parking is free just opposite the hotel.

Perfect base for discovering Elvas. Parking is difficult in the historical city centre. Easy to walk to the centre - albeit uphill.

Good bed, clean room, great location and nice breakfest.
No higyene products, just wall soap dispenser.
Maybe the pool can be used but don't create great expectations. There's a nice pool park near in Badajoz.

+ Hotel is nicely renewed, rooms are nice and comfortable,
+ good location,
+ we liked the breakfast as well.
- Cleaning; we had a lot of black mold in the shower
- The hotel has pegion problem
- The pool area is littered with pegion poo and since there is no 'anti bird spikes' on the roof and window shelfs you can be waken up by a pegion siting on your window, if you have it open.
- soundproofing is inadequate

Visited hotel as part of coach trip to visit Festa do Povo in Campo Maior. Excellent 3 course lunch on arrival,
stylish refurbished room with very comfortable firm bed. Superb view of the viaduct. Buffet breakfast OK but could be better organised. Pool in need of maintenance. Staff friendly & helpful on reception. I would be happy to stay again & recommend for great base to stay & explore area.
