Located in the heart of Alentejo, about 2 km from the historic village of Barbacena and less than 20 minutes from the city of Elvas, classified as World Heritage by Unesco, Camping Puro Alentejo offer its visitors a rural camping prepared to receive motorhomes, caravans, tents and all those who seek the simplicity of the countryside and, above all, experiences to share and remember later.

We stayed in Bobby and Paula’s “Pod” at the campsite in early April 2022. The campsite was small and personal. There is a bar/ restaurant on site with the most amazing sunset views. Bobby and Paula were great campsite hosts, they were very helpful and friendly, suggesting places to visit, we had a pizza at the bar on the first night which was really nice and very reasonably priced. The pod had everything you would expect, and more, very well equipped and very clean, with a kitchen area with a small hob and microwave, outside dining, a full shower room and an indoor sofa. We will definitely be back to visit Paula and Bobby again in the future, and we wish them every success.

We stayed at this site last year and were so impressed by the superb and immaculate facilities, location and friendliness of the owners. Having just spent another couple of nights there we delighted to say it's as wonderful as ever. We travel extensively throughout Portugal and can honestly say this is the best campsite by far. We will be back but for longer next time.

Small campsite in the middle of olive groves, lovely and mostly quiet ( occasional noise from road). Very helpful couple who run this, lovely bar serving food on an evening with a view across the valley. Exceptionally clean. Pitches were even raked in between guests, very clean modern shower block and environmentally aware - recycling and environmentally friendly washing up liquid provided. Very relaxing.

Perfect for families with or without kids. Very clean, luxurius design. Small meals available, and a perfect sunset bar. Afordable for the service. Pool. Multilingual. The owners, Paula and Boby have an above average knowledge about campers needs.

Absolutely brilliant site. Clean, bar , restaurant, Roman remains nearby, close to the local village. €17 a night with electric for Motorhome. Would be £40 back in UK . Will definitely come back. Great Hosts, very friendly.

Great to have discovered this newly opened camp site. Really good location, spotlessly clean. Paula and Bobby are great hosts, really helpful with local information. Lovely bar area, fantastic view & sunsets and very welcome wood burner for the cooler evenings. Especially enjoyed the fishing trip with Bobby, will definitely visit again on our next trip. Superb communication, warm and informative welcome, excellent hosts Paula and Bobby - always available but not intrusive. Facilities spotless. Nice touch to have hammocks and seating included in the secluded area leading down to the pool.

Another excellent stay at this very friendly and clean campsite. Owners Paula and Bobby very helpful with tips of where to visit and general local knowledge. Excellent base for touring around the Alentejo area of Portugal. Excellent restaurants in the surrounding villages but you will have to drive. Will be back here soon hopefully.
