Situated between Elvas (7 Km) and Badajoz (15 Km), within the Amoreira estate, rises the Monte da Amoreira. Once a support venue for hunters, it has been transformed into an agro-tourism site now constituting a noteworthy landmark of the Alentejo hills. The accommodation is split into 2 categories: rooms and apartments. You may choose to stay in one of the 4 twin rooms or in the apartments (T1, T2 or T2 with kitchen). The 7 apartments and 4 rooms that comprise the Monte da Amoreira oversee the surrounding tilled fields, vineyards and olive groves. The Breakfast, Bar and Restaurant services are available every day at the Rural Hotel Quinta de Santo António****. Guests may enjoy all the venues and activities that Quinta de Santo Antonio has to offer.

At just 33 euro per room per night, this is one of the best value for money hotels I've ever been to.
Rooms are very spacious with clean bathrooms, in a very nice field/countryside setting. The rooms also benefit of the services available at the next door 4 star hotel (restaurant, pool etc.). Staff were friendly and very helpful.
Only major downside of this hotel is the fact that it is in the middle of nowhere. We stayed here on our way to Lisbon and we had a car with GPS so it was easy and convenient. Otherwise I think it would have been difficult to get to the centre of the nearest town (Elvas) maybe 5 kms away. Also Elvas itself is a pretty forgettable town with a nice main square and very few restaurants/other entertainment.
I would highly recommend this hotel to couples with a car who want to relax in the countryside or are on their way to somewhere else.

Es un sitio tranquilo, en un entorno precioso. Tiene unas pocas dependencias y salones comunes pero suficientes. Las casas están limpias, sin lujos pero cómodas y no les falta nada. El personal es muy amable. El bar está bien surtido y en el restaurante se come bien a precios competitivos. Tienen la deferencia de cobrar los menús y los desayunos de los niños al 50%. Hay un parque infantil y piscina para el verano.
