We visited this campsite on our way to Lisbon from Ireland. It is a small campsite, with a pool and amazing views towards Badajoz. Campo maior itself is a lovely little traditional village. The hosts are genuinely nice and welcoming people, they offered us fresh fruit from their own trees and garden and even hung up garlands around our tent...

Had a fantastic 3 night stay at this small and rurally located campsite. It is located just 1.5 km outside the small town of Campo Maior which means you can easily walk into town in around 20-25 mins. The site is located over looking a view of olive tree fields and all the pitches are level. Some are grass and...

We have visited this site at least once every year for the last four years and it is truly our favorite site in Portugal. It will not be for everyone, if you are looking for a big site with lots of noise, children's playground, skate park, funfair etc. then you should avoid this site!! However if you want a clean,...

We have had two stays at this site this year, one in May and one in September. We have thouroughly enjoyed both. The hosts are both very friendly and add greatly to the pleasure of the stay. It is a rural site with a 2k walk into town, which was fine for us but it could be a problem for...

I believe the reviews for this small camping site are over generous. It is certainly rural with beautiful views. It is however quite a way from the small village of Campo Maior. There are electricity power lines over head and to describe the small splash pool as a 'swimming pool' is a bit of a stretch. The bar is also...

We were made to feel very much at home from the moment we arrived in this relatively small, well-kept campsite. Our charming and most hospitable Dutch hosts Solange and Joris know this part of Portugal very well were dedicated to ensuring that we got the most out of our visit to the nearby town of Campo Maior and the surrounding...

Originally booked in for two nights but extended for one extra night and wished that we could have stayed longer. The site owners Joris and Solange are very pleasant and we enjoyed their company sitting under the stars drinking wine. The site itself is not to large and has level pitches. Facilities are not luxurious but clean and entirely acceptable....

A fantastic view, but not 800mtrs from the town, as advertised, more like 2+ kms along unlit country lane. Upon arrival, the first business after check in was a lengthy explanation of the rules and a warning of the dangers in town, I.e. the gypsies. Which scared us to want to stay longer. For nearly 20 euros a night, with...
