This location at Watervale is fantastic. It has 5 excellent themed bed rooms, a great dining area, large billiard table, and loads of seating areas throughout the property to enjoy a coffee or glass of wine. The place has so much history. Denise and Frank looked after us as if we were family. Plenty of breakfast provisions provided and heaps...

This is a large old country house than was once a school. It has been beautifully restored and is not a great B & B. We were 3 couples travelling together, we all had large bedrooms with an ensuite each. Large rooms to relax in including a billiard room. There were many foodie treats left for us to enjoy and...

Only arrived back home today from a super stay, I am still thinking about a place I grew fond of in a very short time. There is so much history and grandeur which is hard to absorb all at once. We enjoyed every minute and made use of the facilities, including tense games of eight ball. The inclusions in the...

We stayed 2 nights and had a great time. The old stanley grammar school is really a special place and has a great history. We had a very spacious and beautiful room. The garden is lovely as well, and the same applies for the surroundings in general. But the best of it all are the hosts: Denise and Frank. They...

A wonderful stay here, we had the house to ourselves ( lucky us) and used it to our advantage. Cooked in the kitchen ( thanks Denise for leaving us easy stuff to make an easy dinner after travelling, that was unexpected) and had a few games of pool while listening to music and sipping our wine. Loved the ambience and...

We opted to stay here for something a little different, a bit more winery-lux rather than shabby motel chic, and boy were we surprised. The old (built in the 1890s) boarding school has been revamped into a beautiful, comfortable and lovely located luxurious home away from home. Don't expect anything modern, but comfort and a nice style is delivered. Located...

This is the perfect place for a getaway especially if you are looking for peace and quiet and great hospitality. There is plenty to do in the Clare, however we spent our time relaxing in this beautiful restored school house and lovely gardens. The hosts Denise and Frank are wonderful and they provided us with far more food than your...

My wife and I spent the Easter weekend (2014) here and it was a very enjoyable experience. Denise and Frank were great hosts, and we enjoyed the company of the other guests who stayed there. There was plenty of food put on for the guests, my only complaint was that we could not eat it all. I would strongly recommend...

My wife and I stayed at this property for 5 nights. The old Grammar School is steeped in history, is huge (we had it to ourselves for most of our stay) and very comfortable. The bedroom was large, well furnished and relaxing ....... and we particularly enjoyed use of the snooker room. The property is well located for exploring the...
