I stayed here first week in December on a 2 night coach trip visiting Lincoln Xmas Market. The Hotel is Stunning as you drive into the grounds. Our coach was greeted by a member of staff informing us of the booking in procedure and to tell us our bags would be taken off the coach and put outside our room...

We arrived on Monday for a 2 night bed and evening meal deal. The hotel was large and spacious and had many wonderful features. The service was excellent and our waiter Craig exceptional - nothing was too much trouble for him and it was much appreciated. The food was 5 star and plenty of it as well. Breakfast was either...

Building and grounds well kept. Even in the grey drizzle rain it was still worth a walk around the well maintained gardens to take in the great views. Dinner in the restaurant was spot on and a decent selection of wine. Impressed that our young waiter explained the specific bottle we asked for wasn't chilled properly, apologising and rectifying the...

The hotel itself is in a lovely setting and the approach is spectacular. The building is magnificent and the attention to detail amazing after a fire gutted the place in 2005 and took three years to be completely renewed inside. It has recently been taken over and parts of the mansion are undergoing refurbishment, when this is complete, including the stable...

This place is fantastic looking with all the open fires and Georgian façade and furnishing, but it is spoiled by the fact you do not stay in the main building. The standard rooms are in the 'courtyard, probably the old stable block. These rooms are quite pokey and small ours had no window only a skylight ,furniture was very dated...

Beautiful grounds and location. Staff were very good. Food was excellent for both breakfast and dinner. We were staying in the courtyard rooms, which was not ideal as it rained the whole time we were there and you have to venture outside to gain access to the hotel. Same with the leisure facilities and after having trudged up there in...

All I can say is on the drive upto the hall it was a truly stunning magnificent view, the entrance perfect grandure as expected of, with traditional decor as expected of such a place. The deluxe room was lovely. All the staff were lovely. The leisure facilities - now then - didn't try as very unimpressed with having to pass...

Went for a business trip, group of 14. Hotel's Woodlands rooms were dusty, cold and smelly. Some had electric heaters in because the main heating system had failed. Room was small but ok. Shower was good but blocked so be prepared to stand in dirty water! Food was ok, but we waited nearly 20 mins before our order was taken....
