You have to appreciate the simple things in order to love this hotel. It is not fancy, but is clean and easy. It's all about location! Loved the pool, bar and beach access! Private parking area and lower price was also great. The breakfast is fresh and homemade.

We stayed at Gaidos the night before our cruise. It is located right on the seawall with great access to the beach area. The rooms are somewhat dated but for the price and location it is a great deal. They offer a free shuttle to the cruise ship terminal and allow you to keep your vehicle on their property free....

This was very busy when we arrived being the weekend before Madi Gras. The accommodation was comfortable if a little tired and I found the staff helpful. It is right on the coast but a little way from the the centre of things. There is a attached that is actually much better than I expected, we actually ate there twice...

Staff is friendly, breakfast burritos are awesome. The parking was horrendous. There were absolutely no parking places when we got back from eating at night and only one when we checked in. The hotel is old but still decent. I would stay here again but it wouldn't be my first choice.

Stayed during the second weekend of Mardi Gras celebration in which the rate increased almost $100 per night. The room is not worth that. Interiors are in need of updating/cleaning for sure. However, the location is good for the beach, which was undergoing major renovations. A short walk to the Pleasure Pier was fun for kids. A few good restaurants...

Great little place, no frills but clean and has a great pool and hot tub running year round. Good for having drinks in the hot-tub looking at the Gulf. Also a short walk to the pier and some great restaurants.

This hotel has been a wonderful get away for my family and me for 30 years. The newly remodeled rooms are cushy and simple. It's perfect for the beach! The beds are so comfy! The food is the best on the island! You don't have to leave if you want beach, fun and a great relaxing time. The staff is...

Location, Location, Location ! Classic older motel on the seawall looking out on the Gulf Of Mexico !! A great place to stay for a pre or post cruise stay when sailing out of Port Of Galveston. Not fancy but clean & has real character !! Folks who run it are great. Will stay in the future.

Stayed here with two young children for a quick weekend getaway and couldn't have asked for more. Parking was good and the courtyard felt very safe and secure. The room was tasteful and very clean. Great location! Walked across the street to the beach whenever we pleased and walked back to clean up. Picnicked on the observation deck with a...
